Who R U Picking?

Is this the worst ****ing name for a fight of this magnitude you have ever heard? Or is it just me?

 

Pretty Lame, but the fight is gonna make all of us forget about the "weak sauce" title for this mega fight.:yep

 

That is a very weak name for this fight. WEAK

 

Ali made the name of the fight important.
Never been the same since he left.

You don't say "ali and foreman" you say "the rumble in the jungle"
Who the hell is gonna say "remember the who u pickin?"

 

I thought it was being called The Fight?

 

Yeah I agree, but I just couldn't believe it when i heard it. Who thought this up and who OK'd it atsch

 

Schaefer: "Ok Oscar, we gotta come up with a name for this fight"
Oscar: "Ok lets think"
Schaefer: "Who do you think will win this fight?"
Oscar: "I'm sorry richard what did you say?"
Schaefer: "Who are you picking?"
Oscar: "Genius!!!!! Richard you have done it again!!" (walking out the door ecstatic)
Schaefer: thinks to himself [what a moron, I hate my life]

 

not really.... when you see how they activate their sponsorship.. it will make sense

 

I don't follow, what are you getting at?

 

There is going to be an unusually high amount of sponsorship involved with this fight (sponsors involved will be promoting this fight at a higher rate then most fights) when these sponsors decided to activate (put into action any promotions or ideas they have), it will get the fans involved in a way that we have never seen before or atleast not in this generation. I expect there to be a lot of "who r u picking" rallies, votes, celebrity votes, events and things like this. By the time the fight comes around you will have an army of floyd mayweather fans who have generated their own hype vs a army of shane mosley fans who have generated their own hype, amounting to a BIG ASS HYPE MACHINE to make everyone want to see this fight.

 

they could have at least spelled are and you. i cringed in my film class reading the title.

 

Golden boy....if you recall some of the MASSIVE advertisement for the "DREAM FIGHT" between Floyd and Oscar the commercials would ask all the different people who made up the commercial "who are you picking?"...and some would say Floyd others would say DLH. When I heard the name of this fight I immediatley thought GBP came up with that bull****.

 

Somebody in the marketing department needs to loss their job for that one.:huh
