Are you kidding? Losing a fight and natural talent are two different things. Judah has twice as much natural talent as Baldomir and if you saw the fight you know that lack of stamina not skill beat Judah. Judah was also a named fighter at the time that he met Baldomir and Mayweather. That is why Pac is getting less props. Mayweather went on to take BOTH of them down. That is ANOTHER reason why Pac isn't getting props.
he is an exciting fighter who knocks people out. he acts very humble in public. mayweather is an extremely defensive fighter, who rarely stops top opponents. in fact he rarely stops people who are considered mismatches. also he is extremely arrogant easy to see why the average joe likes pac better than pretty boy.
Manny is an exciting brawler. He cherry picks all day. All of Roach's guys do. Then you drop all the Bob Arum points giving to you by your master. :verysad
I'd say Pacquiao has a more fan-friendly style, as in he beats the hell out of people and typically knocks them out, people love knock outs, and he's much more humble and just likeable outside the ring.
Just like PAc is taking on BOTH Cotto and Clottey. Floyd just keeps saying he's the best over and over and over again and he is so good at self-promotion that he influences alot of people. Pac isn't half as media savvy and makes PR mistakes left right and center. If Pac had Floyd's media skills, with his ability, we wouldn't even be having this discussion.
The whole boxing community wanted to see Mayweather/Judah and Mayweather/Baldomir. They were also meaningful fights. You are smoking. A) Nobody wanted him to fight Clottey B) What the heck is he settling fighting Clottey? It is a crap in camp match to get a payday and avoid the possibility of a drug test.
I can agree with his style being more boxing and casual fan friendly. Outside of the ring? He cheats on his wife in public making her look like a fool. The dude is a two faced liar. Fun to see him throw down though.
think about what you're saying: the whole boxing community wanted to see Floyd vs a career journeyman like Baldomir and then Floyd vs Judah who had just lost to that journeyman, but they don't wanna see Pac vs Clottey, who beat Judah and lost a split decision to Miguel Cotto. What does that tell you about Pac and FLoyd? Pac is held to a much much higher standard.
Sorry, I should say "the public image we see in the States." All we hear about in the mainstream media is that he's humble, loves his country and has to be stopped from giving all his money away to his countrymen.
You are kidding right? FMJ only wanted to fight Judah. He only should have fought Judah. However due to the loss it gave the fight meaning. So, he took on the challenge. If you knew crap you would know that Baldomir was on Dan Rafeal's P4P list above Mayweather. Hell your boy Lyin' Brian Kenny was calling Mayweater out on it. So yes the fight meant something. There is also a double standard... Pac gets respect he doesn't deserve. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kXwJo7DWPA&feature=related[/ame]
You suffer from memory loss. Morales came in overweight against Raheem and effectively fought him at LW, that shows how unmotivated he was for that fight. Everyone has bad nights. But let me see, your gonna compare Judah to Morales, same Morales who beat Pacquiao 10months before  You are comparing Wlad-Brewster? LOL! Morales-Pac was a p4p match, an epic first fight. There was lots of excuses first fight, from cut to gloves. The 2nd fight was fight of the year candidate, a closely contested match till the 6th, going into the fight, the odds were pretty close too. This is clown talk, childish talk or simply loss of memory. No one was complaining about the 2nd fight at the time, it was still seen as a big fight with morales having an off night against Raheem and one of the most anticipated fights of the year. EVERYONE was calling for Judah-PBF to be cancelled before the fought. Wait, did you just compare Gatti to MAB? Jesus. atsch Larios is still a hell of a lot better challenge than a shot Sharma Mitchell. So what if Larios got starched by a big puncher at 122 at a lower weight? If anything, he may have been weight drained at 122. His chin obviously wasnt a problem as Pac failed to stop him. By the way, Larios came on to become FW champ after that fight, what did Mitchell do again? Clottey was the best available opponent, is BLACK and whom many thought beat Cotto. Get over yourself, Floyd is fighting Mosley because of an Earthquake, if not we would be anticipating Matthew Hatton or Paulie Mallignagi right now :deal Here is another hint BTW, Clottey would beat any of the WW's Floyd has fought so far. As would Cotto. Shows what Floyd has been doing in the WW division when a FW can come up and take out 2 top 5 WW's in a year.
I agree. The question you ask is why? Why won't they tell the whole story? This dude parades chicks all on TV kissing and everything else. Wife is crying in church from embarrassment. Then he is "the good guy"? Man please. Talk about his boxing. No more. No less. He is exciting. I admit that.
Why didn't Pac fight Raheem? Bradely? Holt? Campbell? Sharmba Mitchell was FMJ's first fight at WW and just a test. Clottey is not "Black" in the sense that Nate Campbell meant. He means slick athletic African American boxers. He pulled that crap, "there are none" down at the lighter weights. Now he has made it all the way up to WW and never seen one. Why? He ducks. Two top 2 WW?. Ha! Roach and Pac make calculated risks. Every guy they fight has a ton of behind the scenes drama that they exploit. DLH was a skeleton. Hatton STOLE his belt from Collazo and had no corner. Cotto was broken by Margarito and didn't have a corner. Now Pac is fighting Clottey who doesn't have a trainer!
:deal Well said. Pretty much summed up my view of it. I'm pissed of that Floyd chose money over his legacy. He could have fought a prime Cotto, Margarito and Williams by now. But look at who he has fought. Pac's resume is better imo. Although PBF is probably the better boxer had he went for the tougher fights and succeeded he would be a million times more popular than Pac. Even with his idiotic, arrogant persona. He will be the "what could have been" boxer. Wheras Pac is pushing himself to be the best he can be.
