Pacquiao is fighting a handpicked fighter that many never heard of, and they don't have much time to promote it. The winter olympics ate up a big chunk of their publicity. Mayweather is fighting arguably the top WW and a guy that most boxing fans are very much familiar with. Mayweather is doing a hell of a job promoting the fight as well. He's everywhere saying **** that has people talking(both good and bad).

 

Not to mention that March Madness starts right afterwards on the 16th. And the Tourney Selection Show is on the 14th, which means all the Sports Pundits will be devoting their energy towards that ****.


It serves Arum just right to lose this much money just to see his cash cow get stretched out.

Pac doesn't need these ******ed journalists to promote his fight in Dallas.

 

As mentioned on another thread Arum probably isn't promoting it too much because advertising costs money and he's already going to be raking it in at the gate with 45K people showing up.

 

Clottey was definately handpicked. Not to say Clottey isn't a good fighter, but he was certainly handpicked by Top Rank to come to Dallas to lose. Nobody was asking for this fight. Top Rank has definately stacked the deck against Clottey as well. He's training in some rinky dink gym with a 64 year old part time locksmith as his trainer/cutman/handwrapper. He doesn't have a real corner for this fight, and Arum has essentially ignored him.

 

are you still expecting Arum to pull some strings and get Clottey's trainer out of Ghana?

 

I am going to literally cry tears of joy, like I'm watching Amistaad or something, when Clottey overcomes the odds and shocks the world by putting Pac into a deep sleep.
