    Both must fight for action.
    Kelly "Ghost" Pavlik
    -155
    Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez
    +125

Anyone else feel like this line is a little low for Pavlik? I'm pretty sure Williams was at around -400 or maybe even more against Martinez. I understand either fighter can win but I feel like those are very good odds for Pavlik who is a natural middleweight against the smaller man. What do you guys think about this?

(For those that don't know if you put $155 on Pavlik you win $100. $100 on Martinez wins you $125.)

  2. Martinez is gonna win, Pavlik hasn't done **** since he was embarrased by a 44 yr old Hopkins, and Martinez isn;t small, he's awkward and can fight , Martinez wins a decision...

I was actually checking to see what the odds were for Martinez to pull the upset and he's barely the dog.

I would not be surprised if Martinez beats Pavlik. Martinez beat the crap out of Williams, yet he did not have time to train, but he will have time to train for Pavlik. Williams is running from both.

What's the tale of the tape for the two fighters? Including likely unofficial weights on fight night? That'll be what determines if the odds are right, for me. If Kelly is much bigger, I'd agree the odds are a little low.

OH. And am I not mistaken that these two were gonna fight before already and there were odds posted that had Martinez at like +700??? Maybe I'm mistaken.

I'm bettin on my boy Martinez for shizzle no doubt! I'm gonna make some money on this one boys! Martinez is one bad dude and people don't even know. Once he hands the strong but limited Pavlik his ass by outboxing him, it will be payday for me. I'm hoping the odds change a little more in my favor, I mean Pavlik does have a lot of advantages in this match (power, reach, height, weight), but I'll take the bet regardless. Big money on the line. Big money all the time, let's go!

Yeah, kinda shitty odds on Martinez, but it will change. If you plan to bet on Maravilla, wait till fight day. Once the conferences are done, the weigh-in is done, the face-off is done, people will realize Pavlik is so much bigger and stronger that they're gonna place large bets on Kelly, and that's when you should bet on Martinez by decision. If you like Pavlik's chances, now's the time to put money on him.

Right now, as I type this, Pavlik is a solid 180 pounds. "Word on the street" says he is in better shape, and more focused than he has ever been at the beginning of camp. Team Pavlik is on the way to Florida where they will finish camp while working closely and carefully with Kelly's nutritional program.

There are pictures from Saturday all over the interent. The two combatants standing together look like a light heavyweight standing next to a welterweight.

In the fight announcement press conference Martinez claimed he is going to beat Pavlik up and knock him out.

Sergio Martinez seems to have a "go to war" mentality, and it looks like he will face a focused and in shape Kelly Pavlik. Sergio isn't talking about out boxing KP. He's talking about going to war wth him! That, in and of its self, should alter the odds considerably.
