Its game over when he gets taken down. Hes gonna look like a convulsing fat albert trying to fight off the other guy on the ground.

as fat and out of shape as he is I still liked watching him fight. Too bad.

someone want to explain to me how his style will translate at all? He is going to get crushed.

a waste of time. I'm very disappointed. If Toney was so frustrated with boxing, he could just have retired instead and do something meaningful, like become an actor or something...

Dana White even said he can combine his boxing career with MMA, he is allowed to schedule boxing fights in between MMA fights...

YEAH RIGHT... as if he was that busy these past years. Instead of making call out video's for MMA, he should schedule more fights:patsch

I love James Toney but this is a bad move for all involved!! Also UFC won't ever be able to keep with boxing when it comes to money, The biggest purse so far is Brock Lesnar getting $560'000...

Oh I agree. His trainer said he was at Purple belt level in pure BJJ.

Which is damn good after a few years. But ain't no purple belt submiting a world champion blackbelt.

Also in mma his control is brutal and his top pressure so heavy that you would need something special to sub him from the bottom.

I think the same but then he walks over to an opponent and kills him and walks back to his corner.

Don't care. If anything the fact that a washed up ex-champ is even signing with the biggest MMA promotion shows me boxing is doing fine. A prime boxer and a prime mma guy will never face each other. Just a side show here people.

I heard that Gonzaga/Lesnar story was bull**** too.

Gonzaga has an awesome skillset for MMA, he's just failed to live up to his potential so far.
