Forgive me, i wasnt a huge fan of the lower weights in the late 90's. Was it to entice DLH? There was plenty of talent in that division at the time and after having such success at 135 i thought he would have gone to 140 and dominated there to :huh
:good thought so...this didnt need a thread but just wanted to clarify... i just finished downloading his career set and am filling the gaps
The fact that he won that fight also explains why he stayed at 147lbs. He probably would have moved back down to 135-140lbs had he lost.
the same guy he was due to fight in may 08?who pulled out. he went straight to 147 because thats where dlh was.
Check your facts. Judah never pulled out of the fight. He wanted to postpone after suffering a bad injury. Shane saw his opportunity to escape the ass whoopin he was about to receive and cancelled the fight all together.:deal Shane is deathly afraid of Super Judah. We all know this.
Two reasons. He was already struggling at 135, and a big payday was on the table with DLH. I'd say Mosley is actually a natural welterweight, who in his younger days had the freakish ability to lose the last few lbs to get down to 135. Once that goes, it's time to move up. He'd have struggled almost as much at 140, where there weren't as many big fights available..... best to move up to 147 and be healthy.
