Do you still consider Floyd Mayweather a "cherry picker"?

For me, no. His decision to take on Mosley has changed my view of him.

decision to take on mosley was too little too late.
    He was forced into it.

He had no other ****ing choice. it would have been career suicide if he had taken another route. For crying out loud Matthew hatton was considered at one point.

Nearly everyone, including pac cherry picks to a certain extent at different times in their careers. However you cant achieve the success both these fighters currently have without being a damn good boxer.

He was pushed / forced the Mosley route but still had to fight him. I'm glad he chose Mosley over Matthew Hatton.

He wasn't forced into anything. I don't see how ANY FIGHTER doesn't cherry pick apart from fighting certain Mandatories (if you have a belt). At the end of the day every fighter see's if the fighter is good for them and then signs the dotted line.

It's true that almost all top fighters cherry pick, but it's who they cherry pick that gets the reaction.
Cherry picking marquez sealed it for a lot of people.

PBF wasn't "forced" into this fight. He could've easily taken on a lesser fighter and still make millions. Think back to the JMM/PBF post fight interview when Mosley barged in. At that point, did any of you think PBF would ever fight Mosley? No right? Well, it's happening now. You have to give him props for taking on this challenge.

Prior to Berto pulling out, Floyd went on and on about how he has no interest in fighting Mosley for whatever reasons. He was backed into a corner when the Pacman fight fell apart, and Berto pulled out. It left Floyd with only 1 logical option/opponent. Shane Mosley. Had Floyd not taken the fight, he had might as well retired for good!

    :patsch:-(

Now i can sense some of Mayweather's fan frustrations. On the one hand, you PBF haters said that PBF would never fight Mosley because he's a risk. But once he agrees to fight him, you mention his age. PBF can't win in this situation can he?

I dont understand your comment. From my understanding and media sources, floyd team were waiting to see if mosley became available due to berto's bereavement.

None of us knew what was going on behind the scenes, yet schafer said he had a big announcement real soon regarding mayweather's next opponent. This was before any of the media knew that mosley and berto was off.

Mayweather was at the time according to the media lined up to fight kermit cintron in his next bout.

So clearly golden boy and mayweather knew what was going on behind the scenes. So how could he be forced into fighting shane? When shane became available well before we knew what was going on?

He's never been a cherry picker he's always fought who he was suppose to fight when the timing was right...

If he didn't fight them is because they didn't have anything to offer him...he wanted big name fights early in his career. Big name fighters didn't want to fight him. He established himself as a big name and then the world expects him to fight nobody's...it's never worked like that.
