Floyd Has Long Claimed A Contingent Of People Want To See Him Lose - Is This True?

Please tell me you're joking. Why the hell would Pacquiao fans show up to a press conference that doesn't even involve Pac just to taunt another fighter?

 

Just about everybody in the top 5 (except for maybe Bernard Hopkins) has a large group of people who want to see him lose. It's just the way fans do things.

 

The ultimate irony of this is that 85% of the people who want to see Floyd lose readily acknowledge that he intentionally plays the part of 'villian' to sell tickets. And yet they STILL choose to hate on him personally because of this marketing ploy.

It's like a bunch of 12 year old wrestling fans claim to know wrestling is fake, and yet still cry because Hulk Hogan went 'heel' on them.

Sad indeed.

 

i would like to see him fight tough opponents. if he was really the best # for #, then i think he should clean out his division.

say what you want about Roy Jones, but he did pretty much clean out light heavyweight save for like 1 dude.

Roy gets hated on just as bad as floyd does tho. And its a damn shame.

Yeah, course they do and at times I'm one of them, he can be disrespectful ****er at times and some of his comments make you want to see him catch a beating for it.

 

Yes I would, not because I "hate" him but because it would humble him and put his ego in check.

 

Yes, I was there yestersay as well. There were definitely A LOT of haters, that's why I think Floyd said what he said at the end about judging your own selves. Keep in mind though that a lot of people in the DMV (DC, MD & VA for those of you who dont know) are known to start some s--t just to do it, so could have all been in fun.

But in the section I was in (front row second level), mostly everyone was pro mayweather.

On another note, floyd looks bigger in person than I would have imagined. Of course he had a sweat suit on but I was still surprised. I also wasn't aware that Leonard Ellerbe and Paul Williams, who was also there, were from here.

Nah I heard it when he was announced (I think it Tigger announced it) in the theatre though.

But I cant count the number of times I have seen him near Pier 7 on the waterfront. My nuncle said he would see him at Club 55 all the time, giving big tips, lol!

I left right after Mayweather said his speech. But I can imagine how crazy it got in there.
