My definition of ducking is when a fighter has no choice but to fight that fighter and he doesn't. AM was never in position to fight with the big boys until he fought someone who would punch back. That happened when he fought PW. So what he fought Clottey he's a ww...AM's supposed to fight ww's. So what he fought PW, he lost, so what he fought Cotto he won, so what he got ktfo by Shane, he lost. Arum can't promote AM as a fighter Floyd ducked becuase Floyd bought out his own contract to promote himself and make more money for himself than what Arum was giving him. Floyd had a vision for himself while Arum didn't.

Sorry, but AM was never in the picture-not even at that time. At that time nobody thought AM earned the right to fight for a big payday...except his promoter. Floyd fought for more money, and the lineal title he has always been fighting for. AM's promoter promoted him in a way that made Floyd look like a coward, and that is why they never fought... Even later had AM beat everyone else, he could've showed fans that he earned the ight to fight Floyd. AM was never built like that...

see, thats where you wrong. margarito, after destroying cintron and beating clottey, was ranked high in the 147 rankings. so in terms of welterweight standings, which where mayweather was supposeldy establishing himself, margarito was there. now there is an issue of arum and mayweather not getting along which complicated things but for whatever reasons, mayweather did not want anything to do with margarito. you can call however you want it. and imo, mayweather would have beaten him but it would have been better to see it in the ring.
