What I dont understand about Floyd fanatics!...

Mayweather fans don't have a problem with people hating him. It has more to do with you people always finding a way to discredit him. Floyd gets criticized for fighting Judah and Cotto got praises for it. He beats Hatton and a better version of De La Hoya than Pacquiao did, but you guys say it doesn't count and turn around and give Pacquiao praise for those. Mayweather fights one fighter that's smaller than him in a come back fight no less and it's the end of the world, even though Pacquiao, Cotto, and others throughout the history of the sport have also done this. Haters say Mayweather dodged fighters and even guys he was never in position to face with proof showing these things, but Pacquiao avoided Guzman, Mosley, and now Mayweather and it's okay.

You get on him for talking trash, but tons of fighters have always done that also. Someone earlier said that you have to be nice in boxing. Don't we cheer seeing fighters get knocked out? When one of the primary goals is to hurt your opponent, I don't think sportsmanship and respect are things that are needed. You might want to try golf or tennis. Ricardo Mayorga, Fernando Vargas, and Muhammad Ali seem to be pretty popular on this site and they've said and done much worse things to their opponents than Mayweather has.

No one cares if you hate him, but criticizing him for things that other fighters that you root for do is stupid and obviously biased. How can you hate somebody that you've never met before anyway? What has he done to you that makes you hate him? If you hate someone that you don't know or have never met, then I think you have problems with yourself that you need to work out.

Floyd himself embraces being the villian..he does it well and he's an incredible self promoter. How he acts and how he chooses to self promote is his choice and I don't hate him for it. He's cocky and abrasive but it works for him and he gets people interested...love or hate him the man can sell a fight. That statement is universal bro.....Especially when you are talking about men like Floyd who are considered the top guy in their profession. Getting "HATE" and unwarranted critisim comes with the territory. Manny gets the same kind of "HATE" and critisim b/c he's in the same postion Floyd is in. He's the top guy so there will always be haters on the job.

It's unfair to discredit Floyd and what he has accomplished in the ring.....no one can take that away from him....just as it's unfair to discredit Manny and what he's done in the ring. Both have won their fights fair and square and both have dominated in a way that warrants their present position in boxing.

Both are known for thier incredible work ethic and dedication to preparing for their fights. When people start saying Hatton was tailor made for Floyd or that Floyd was bigger and should have won to "discredit" the win...it's ****ed up...or when they start saying Manny beat up on Old, shot fighters....all bull**** and unjust critisim....but at the end of the day they are filling the slot that so many of the TOP guys of this sport all went through...from Ali to Leonard....to Roy Jones to Floyd Jr....they all had unfair ciritism based purely on people who are fanatics or cheerleaders of an opposing fighter.
