You don't know if PBF can adjust to all styles. He's never really fought a top fighter who likes to stick and move. The one who has that style that I can think of is Sosa who isn't very good and Floyd looked pretty average in that fight. Also Pac has a style that can trouble Floyd too because of his great straight left which is a punch that I've seen trouble Floyd in the past and his feet which are even faster than Floyd's so he can stick that lead left in or a quick right hook to the body or a 5 punch combo and move off to his side faster than anyone else. Pac has a jab that he uses to set up his other punches or as a defensive tool. He's a really good counterpuncher himself and he isn't one-dimensional at all. He attacks the body all the time and if you retreat on him he can make you so defensive that he will just rack up round after round like he did against Barrera and Cotto.
Because at this stage of his career, Mosely cant cope with quick hands, and struggles to pull the trigger on his own punches. Mayorga and Cotto could get off their shots, and avoid Moselys, well in Mayorgas case till the last round lol. Margarito is extremely rugged and durable, but walks straight forward, and its fairly predictable to what he is going to do. He turns fights into a war of attrition, and by coming straight at Mosely, allowed Mosely to beat him to the punch, and to stay set to punch again. This is why he was perfect for Mosely, and why I believe Mayweather will be in control from the 1st bell to the last.
Mosley began his career at 135#. How n da fukk u think he isn't worthy? Who has Lil Floyd fought above lightweight? Compare their resumes, THEN talk ****. Sugar Shane Mosley iz a TRUE P4P player. BTW, how do yall bias fans think PACMAN nd MONEY MAY would do against the late VERNON FORREST, prime nd undefeated?
1. Pacqauio 2. Mayweather 3. Dawson 4. Mosely 5. W. Klitschko 6. Hopkins 7. Bradley 8. JM Marquez 9. Williams 10. Abraham
Pac isn't goig to land a 5 punch combo on PBF when has anyone ever done that man? You're grasping at straws here. You go on and on about Pac's left hand but PBF's straight right hand is tailor made for Pac's southpaw stance. He would land that punch all night long because one he has longer arms than Pac and two he can get off faster than Pac can and three he's the more accurate than Pac also the way Pac comes in off balanced having to lunge in due to reach isn't a good idea. A technician like PBF will see that and take advantage of it all night long. That straight right hand will be bad news for Pac all night long add to that PBF has better defense than PAc does and you see why this is a horrible match up for Pac at any weight. You say PBF can't adjust to all styles but how any times have you seen PBF outboxed? On the other side how many times have you seen Pac outboxed? Atleast 3 times or more. That shows the ability to adjust. Pac's style while awkward isn't complicated, first he's extremely flawed and can be taken advantage of by a guy who's a great counter-puncher with great hand speed and is as just as good of an athlete as he. I've always said that PBF would school Pac and beat him by wide UD I still feel that way. PBF would outclass the limited Pacquiao and show him that he's not in his league.
No, Mosely WAS a p4p top 5, he shouldnt be now. Whats where he began his career got to do with anything? Pac and Floyd done quite a few weight classes too, and JMM. And well as for Forrest, how did Shane do there again??
Sugar Shane tested himself TWICE vs the late two-division champ, VERNON FORREST AND he tested himself against a better nd prime Oscar multiple times. Sugar Shane Mosley tested himself against a PRIME Winky Wright!! DAMN!! Do u know boxing? I LOVE fukkn boxing.
When has PBF ever fought anyone with an offense half as good as Pac's? Never. Pac has fought several fighters with better technical skills than him in the past and he's been able to beat them and often completely dominate them. Pac has too many attributes that go under the radar of most fans and that's apart from his skills, which also are flat out underrated. Pac can get inside Floyd's defense and he can make him pay. He can also make Floyd so defensive that Floyd will give up rounds just to avoid getting hit. Which is something that Floyd often does early in fights when he's figuring fighters out. Except against a guy like Pac just a few rounds to figure him out wouldn't be enough because once you do that you gotta have the tools to stop his offensive onslaught which is much better than any of Floyd's previous opponents. That's why I'm saying that at 147 Floyd has a better shot because he can use that extra weight to control Pac's movement better and impose himself while at 135 or 140 he would have gotten so defensive that he would lose a real wide decision. If he decided to take a risk and match his offense with Pac's he would eat some serious leather and probably get stopped.
Young Boxing fans: u don't judge skills, u judge quality opposition competitive during matches? their natural weight classes, nd opponents? PAC iz #1 don't gimme dat undefeated cherry picking **** imma fighter, i know what da fukk i'm sayin, my kuckles got mileage 415 Sucka Free City
T-1. Mayweather Pacquiao 3. Paul Williams 4. Nonito Donaire 5. Shane Mosley 6. JMM 7. Chad Dawson 8. Vic Darchinyan 9. Miguel Cotto 10. Tomasz Adamek Edwin Valero, Rigondeaux, Gamboa, Bradley, Calderon, Sergio Martinez, and Caballero are honorable mention and will have a chance to crack the top 10 in the coming years.
Why the hell is Donaire in the p4p top 10?WTF has he done to deserve such a high ranking? Hell, if he's in the top 10 than Montiel should be there too.....he is a 3 division champ and has beat very good competition more so than Donaire. Anyways, here is mine: 1.Pac 2.PBF 3.Hopkins 4.Marquez 5.Mosley 6.Williams 7.Dawson 8.Bradley 9.W. Klitshko 10.R.Marquez 11.Cotto 12.Montiel(should he beat Hasegawa he will bumo up to 8 or 9) 13.Donaire 14.Abrham 15.Adamek 16.Vic Darchynian 17.Martinez 18.Ward 19.Jhonn 20.Hasegawa
1.Manny Pacquiao 2.Floyd Mayweather 3.Shane Mosley 4.Juan M Marquez 5.Bernard Hopkins 6.Sergio Martinez 7.Paul Williams 8.Nonito Donnaire 9.Chad Dawson 10. TIm Bradley-Andre Ward I think May would beat Manny in a HTH but have to go with manny cause of his recent run. But the Winner of the Mosley, May could possibley take his spot if they look impressive. Marquez,Hopkins pretty close call. Thought Martinez won the fight against Williams and wont hold it against him just cause the judges did. Nonito is barely holding on he needs to fight better opposition but i think he is very tought to beat at JB. Dawson might be the best LH but he needs a fight against a young gun. I think Ward is gonna go thru the super 6, but Bradley has a strong case hes been on a good run and is very talented. Honorable Mentions Vitali,John,Valero,Hasegawa,Margarito,COtto,Bute,Abraham,Gamboa Id like to put Gamboa on this list cause HTH he is one of the elite, but he has to beat some better comp before i put him there. IF Rafeal Marquez or Israel Vasquez have anything left they will be bumped up to top 10, only out cause they have been inactive and Vasquez seems to have slipped, dont know about Marquez he might have more left we will find out in May.
When has Pac ever fought a guy as good defensively as PBF? When has Pac ever fought someone who has as fast as hands as him? When has Pac ever fought anyone who was close to being a good as athlete as him? I'll answer it for you no one.:deal It's one of the main reasons why Roach put Pac in with guys who are tailormade for him none athletic guys with slow hands and feet who will stand in front of him and lack defense. He avoids slick defensive counter-punchers for good reason because stylistically he doesn't match up well with them. This isn't me making this stuff it's fact. PBF holds a clear stylistic advantage over Pac whether you want to admit it is irrelevant it's the truth start a poll here, it's boxing 101 about styles. Pac can't get inside his defense becasue Pac isn't an inside fighter and doesn't work behind a jab PBF would tool him in any inside fight. Pac comes in and out with basic easily timed movement. Guys have problems with it because they can't handle his speed and aren't good counter-punchers but PBF can handle his speed and is the best counter-puncher in the game and has fought guys with faster hands than Pac before mainly Zab who's going to end up being a harder fight for PBF than Pac will be because Zab has faster one shot hand speed, has longer arms, picks his shots better, has a jab and is more of a natural counter-puncher. The bigger question here is can Pac handle PBF's speed? Or his athletic abilty, countering, defense and ring IQ? I think not. Pac has never fought a slick defensive counter puncher before and will be frustrated by PBF not fighting his fight. PBF will show him looks he has never seen before and Pac will be looking lost going to Roach between rounds asking for advice. Pac lacks the jab, inside fighting ability, the ring IQ cutting off the ring ability and lack of a body attack needed in order to be PBF.
