Interesting events involving Felix Sturm may see him take the option of vacating his WBA Middleweight title leaving the gun run to Ash's favourite person to fill the void...

I can hear Ash singing it loud for his hero right now and maybe there is truth to the rumours that Ash has suddenly taken to religion and was last seen praying at his local church in order for this wish of Sturm to vacate to be true... :yep

Oh yeah baby.....Glovkin v Mundine for the WBA World title

Dont know much about Glovkin apart from boxrec 18 - 15ko's - 0

Looks like hes always fought in Germany......interesting to see if the fight wil be here or there.

Mundine is still rated at #1 in the WBA at 160....this has been coming for a while now.....report is Sturms 20kgs over weight and not happy.

    How good is Glovkin...anybody know?

Gennady was a gun amateur...and he is looking like a gun pro right now aswell.

Hasnt really been blooded over the longer distance or top class pro fighters yet.

Should be a ton of him on the tube, at least some of his amateur ****. I was watching it only a couple of weeks ago.

Nice right hand x 3...fair to say Mundine wont sit in front doing nothing....somebody should have told that guy this was not a sparring session

Glovikin looks very solid...like most German fighters hands high out in front....however not much of a jab....will need to set up the right against Mundine.....great power......great fight if it gets made

He aint German ash...He is a Borat.

His right is his main weapon...But he does jab, havent seen it enough consistently in action to comment though.
That bloke was a lefty aswell...so you expect the jab to be utilized less.

looks technically decent but slow there, we know whose jab would land first

oops my mistake...I was just typing something about Gevor being German

On the jab I was talking setting up the right....even with a lefty its a good entry/ distraction to land the right....I dont see him landing the right as a one off punch all that often on mundine....mind you with that power you only need 2 or 3 over 12 rounds

Dont get me wrong I think hes dangerous

ok let me think about this has Mundine ever beaten a true world champ to take their title?

He won the title during the Echols belt who was no champ, After fighting a old man from Japan he then lost the title to Manny Siaca.....He then tried to get it back by facing Kessler and he lost on points.....

Then he won it back by beating Sam Soliman for once again the vacant WBA title....Then it came time to rematch Kessler, He said that was a pointless and that not a big fight for him anymore...Ok the main who beat you and it is a meaningless fight........OK so then he moved to middleweight and gave up the WBA SM title...

Then he won ( many disagree) the IBO middleweight title from Geale, Who is the only one to have held the title that Mundine defeated.

and now once again a Vacant title is up for grabs........Thank god Australia has Darchinyan and Katsidis doing something.
