I've seen probably every one of Leonard's fights for which there's footage and many Robinson fights, so I'm just going on my understanding of them in terms of a head to head match. It's all we can really do, I guess, in terms of comparing them in a fight.

Your saying the Hopkins that beat Tito would beat SRL? I respect Hopkins skills, but I could not see him beating SRL or a prime RJJ. They were special gifted fighters. He would not beat Hagler either. Which is a different style that Hopkins could do better, but I still see Hagler winning.

SRL is bigger and badder than PBF. The only welterweight I would take over SRL is SRR. The Duran win was a fluke that was emphatically avenged twice.

Hopkins would beat SRL and Hagler, never RJJ.

Very quick, VERY powerful, extremely fluid and graceful, amazing chin. I'm not a guy who hypes up old timers, but SRR is timeless. Nobody is a lock against someone like SRL, but I'm taking SRR over any welterweight who ever lived. He's the #1 or #2 p4p ATG, depending on how much you like Ali, and SRL most commonly comes in third if it's not Armstrong.

monzon wouldve beaten him at mw, among others.

Duran and SRL were both in tip top shape for their first fight. That's not disputable - and im sure srl wasn't planning on getting countered over the top with right hands and getting wobbled by left hooks or pinned on the ropes. he lost the fight clear as day. duran had to come down from over 200 pounds in the 2nd bout - that's fact...and srl's display that night wasn't nearly as good as duran's in the first fight. it was nothing like some people make it out to be ("leonard was moving beautifully and pitching a shutout, making duran look foolish all night"). duran was getting beat, annoyed by a clowning and more prepared leonard, and quit. their 1st fight is a better indication of how fights would go with both at their very best.

i'd take Robinson over Leonard too, but leonard is among the very best ever.

If Floyd and Shane were one person they'd be SRL. You can look at their styles and tell. Floyd has that elusive side of SRL and Mosley has that risk taker thats willing to stand with you side of SRL.

Stop making excuses. Ray fought Duran's fight in the first event and lost a squeaker. He fought his fight in the next two fights and totally outclassed Duran, as did Hearns and Benitez.

SRL could switch from being a defensive cutie to deadly bomb throwing stalker in an instant. He was a brutal finisher as well.

Exactly and mosley is that bomber and mayweather is that cutie(no homo). And as far as the finisher thing look at the margorito fight and the hatton fight.

I love how Duran being unqestionably out of shape and out of sorts for the rematch is considered an excuse by the same fans who attribute the ass-whooping Leonard recieved in the first bout to "fighting Duran's fight". The irony is killer.
