LIke he said after he beats Shane it's going to be that Mosley was too old ... Marquez was too small (even though the separation in weight didn't exceed 10lbs) Hatton was a hype job, DLH was washed up, Judah had a glass jaw, Baldomir was too slow ... there seems to be more excuses surrounding his victorys than Homage ...

He beats an undefeated Hatton and a DLH at his natural weight class ... and he doesn't get any credit, yet Pac can beat those same guys afterwards and he gets credited with being the greatest fighter ever. Despite DLH being softened up by Forbes (who broke his orbital bone) and was a freakin skeleton trying to make 147 ... Hatton was psychologically taken out of the game ... he was busted up by Lazcano ... and had a decent win against Malignaggi ...

You are supposed to be not just looking for wins but who he fought and when he fought them.

    That is like boxing 101.

No one sane is saying PBF isn't a good fighter. Some of us are simply saying he is has not accomplished what it takes to be considered an ATG fighter.

If you are too emotionally involved to scrutinize fine.....but that can't stop the rest of us.

He fought more world champions than a vast majority of the fighters on the top level and he's only matched in title fights by Mosley and Hopkins ... his record in title fights is crazy ... he's challenged for the title 6-times thats more than most fighters out there. Thats all-time great status, it has nothing to do with him being undefeated. He's put it on the line and found a way to win. His resume speaks for itself ... no other fighter can compare ...

You know when guys talk like you I always wonder, "So who does meet your critera for greatness? Are there any great fighters in this era?" What you always end up with is nonsense.

    Cintron - Really?
    Clottey - Top Rank
    Williams - Really?
    Cotto - Top rank
Shane - Called out, didn't answer, wasn't screaming to fight post ODLH

They are all in the top 10 and none of them could pull their weight in a PPV card.

From what I saw, FMJ was gearing his career for his exit. Grab a few titles, make history, and ride off into the sunset. He made the WW division hot. Guys calling him out and jockeying to fight FMJ made everyone take notice of WW. It was his influence that got guys staying at and returning to WW.

This is a prime example of not giving credit.

He ruined so many fighter psychologically without physicality ... you know psychological recovery time far exceeds that of phsyical recovery.

I don't wanna see a KO but I understand that Floyd usually can't get a KO anyways. I still appreciate watching him fight but I'm just realistic about what he can and can't do. You say that you don't care about the KO but you're trying to convince yourself that he's good enough to do it if he wants even though he isn't. Its inconsistant. If you don't care, then don't care.

Stop playing the victim. PBF fans are always talking about what some loud mouth hater is saying.

And forget about Pacman......two wrongs don't make a right. If fans are proping Pacman up without scrutinizing him and his record then call them out.

But you aren't doing just that. You are trying to hold onto the bogus arguments of Floyd and his fans.

I don't care about pac's win over DLH....but I care about his win over Cotto.

And if PBF beats Shane I will give him credit. Shane isn't in his prime but Shane is a LEGIT TOP WW.....possibly the best in his division.

We will find out May 1st who the best really is.

And that is all PBF's critics (NOT HATERS) have been saying. Fight the top comp, then it will be decided how great PBF is or isn't. PBF has been wanting to try and prove his greatness WITH HIS MOUTH AN NOT HIS FISTS!

I can see your point, but his wins stack up. Name a fighter who does stack up meet your criteria?

I know no one CREDIBLE is saying that. He is an ATG.

I am not emotionally involved. I don't care. I do this for fun.

He can't get the KO? I honestly don't think he tries. I think he is extremely cautious. He fights like it is work, not passion/personal.

If you can land a 1-2 and be gone by the time the guy throws a counter. You can probably stay a split second longer and throw a hook and block, slip, or HOPE that landing your shot takes the steam off of his. FMJ is satisfied to take what he gets. If you can't see that I don't know what to say to you.

Like I said, I don't care and realistically I think he could make fights a lot more uglier than he does. He chooses not to.

If he's not an all-time great why does he have so much respect from other prize fighters? ... why is he rated among the top 50 fighters of all-time by many boxing writers and historians ... Why is he the favorite fighter of Tyson, Lewis, Leonard, Whitaker, Ward, Dirrell, Clottey, Malignaggi, Hatton, Jones Jr, and Hearns? ... those guys like this man and rank him high among this era's best and thats good criteria for ATG status ... Mayweather is only measured against boxers of the past, not the present.

Why did Hopkins and DLH say that he's the best fighter of their era?

Why are fighters now adopting a style of "intelligent" boxing?

lets see floyd beats henderazs when he was still green, fought top contenders like carlos hendraz, jesus chavez, angel manfreddy, corrales, castillo 2x and hatton in peak prime. Judah, was in prime. Oscar and marquez was both on top and now he is fighting mosley when he is on top. sounds like he is the easy road alright.
