Yep. Anybody who has followed Floyd's career knows that he fights people when there is demand for it. His numbers speak for themselves. If people didn't want to see the fights he puts out, they wouldn't buy. If you follow his career as it went, his timing for fighting people was always good and made sense.

 

Pac didn't call him out for the exact same reason. He would get his ass whooped by Williams and Roach knows this all too well. Pac isn't even a natural WW. Pac was in negotiations with Mosley but they didn't materlialise and besides, Cotto was as much of a chellenge. He was also a top dog welterweight so there was little difference between their prestige at the time.

See you are taken in by Floyd's bull**** excuse for avoiding fighters with "following" excuse. Williams has done more than enough to get a crack at taking the champs belt. Following or not, avoiding to fight him is ducking. Seriously, assuming Cintron beats Berto, you think he is more deserving of a shot than Williams. Pulllease!!!!

He was for many years same as Calzaghe but I give him his credit he's fighting Mosley now, say what you want about the age he is actually facing a threat finally thus I can no longer talk **** about the man unless he pull's some B.S. close to fight time.

Floyd has only been a "superstar" for less than 3 years and that came about only because DLH decided to fight him.

He had a shitty PPV record before that!

 

All boxers and there teams cherry pick, not just Floyd. But he has for some reason not fought the best at 147lbs, maybe not all his fault, but it still doesn't change it.

Floyd will probably go on and face Pacquiao if he beats Mosley, and a lot of people will not change there opinion of him because they don't like him. They will always label him a "cherry picker", or a "ducker". If he does beat Mosley and then faces Pacquiao win or lose, he will have faced the joint #1 Welterweights in my opinion, yet that probably won't be enough.

Also, for the people who are saying Floyd was forced into this bout with Mosley...seriously? We all know, if Floyd didn't want the bout, he wouldn't agree to it. FACT!

 

FLoyd vs Mosley is a good fight and possible the start of FLoyd shedding that Cherry-picker reputation.

Not too many people mention the "reluctant Roy" period of his life anymore because he went on to take some risks after years of fighting civil service workers.

What have you done lately is extremely important in boxing, and should PBF defeat Mosely he will he highly celebrated. Of course there will always be the haters but I'm willing to bet he will lose a whole bunch those by fighting and defeating Mosley/Pac caliber fighters!

 

Agreed. I want to be able to give him credit for taking the tough fights. I think it's a shame that he has wasted many years of his career fighting for pay days instead of legacy. He is extremely talented and I want him to fulfill his talent. I want Mayweather to prove me wrong and fight and beat the big boys.

Yes, He recognizes that Mosley looked old against Mayorga.
Contrary to Pac who has been looking great. That is why he prefer fighting a 39 years old Mosley instead of facing Pac who is in his prime.
