Floyd needs to lose May 1st, it will be good for him and Boxing

Floyds camp make too much about Floyd is undefeated and him and his camp need to be humbled. A real champion is how you come back from a loss, and show your heart. Plus Floyd losing would be great for boxing and can set up a great rematch, comeback.

Floyd's people go on about him being undefeated but how many ELITE or GREAT fighters in their prime has Floyd beaten?

I feel this fight with Shane was forced on Floyd, and Shane does have the power and speed to give Floyd problems, this is a real good fight.

 

u cant even give floyd credit for fighting mosley, funny how it looks like mosley is the one who is a bit nervous. Anyways good post but nothing was forced on floyd, he took the challenge

 

I don't think Floyd getting beat May 1st would be good for the sport, yes it would humble him which would be good for everyone. But then we miss out on possibly the biggest and most anticipated bout in history, Mayweather v Pacquiao.
One of the main reasons Mayweather is an attraction is because people want to see him get beat. If he is beaten, what is the point in those select people watching his bouts?
Also at this point in his career, if Floyd gets beat, I see him retiring!

 

If he is going to have his 1st lost, the best person to give him that would be pac.

 

I disagree when Shane and Berto got called off and both Floyd and Shane were free with Manny-Floyd not coming off, this was his only respectable option.

For some reason i dont think the Manny-Floyd fight will happen, to much bad blood, but i really hope i am wrong.

 

I think it's better if he stays undefeated. There are a good amount of people who watch his fights just to see him suffer his first loss. The undefeated record helps build up these fights. He's the only p4p fighter besides Dawson without a loss.

 

What a ******ed post. He needs to lose becos u guys cant get over his success! A real champion doesn't have to lose to show he is great, Rocky Marciano didn't have to lose to show greatness so why does Floyd. Losing and coming back doesn't show you have heart it shows u were ill prepared and got ur ass kicked and learnt from that lesson. Remaining undefeated and outclassing all ur opponents shows greatness. What a waste of a thread space, Silly Hater!!!
P/s Floyd doesn't have to go the way of Amir khan cos he is just a better Fighter.

Its not just floyd who needs humbling. His father, uncle... everyone including his fans

 

I love the idea of a boxer retiring undefeated, beating all the top boxers out there, too bad its Floyd with his personality, and he hasn't beaten all the top guys out there. I think it's good if he beats Shane, but only if he fights Pac after. Would love it if he had one loss on his record coming against Pac - They could even go on to have a trilogy, even if Floyd lost a couple he would get my respect after that.

How you bounce back is the only way to prove of a good champion? how about fighting 20 world championship fights and remain undefeated? That is harder to do.
