Floyd mayweather "pacquiao is getting 6 million, im getting 40 million"

I initially thought 40MM was a lie but I am starting to believe it.

Ellerbe and Haymon put a lot of pressure on Golden Boy for higher guaranteed purse, making them go out and attract bigger sponsors, promote the fight harder, etc.

Supposedly, Floyd is getting 40 and Mosley is getting 12. A 52 million purse isn't completely ridiculous when you look at DLH/Mayweather numbers. DLH made 52MM and Mayweather received 25MM for their fight.

I don't think it's any secret that Pacquaio is getting hosed in his business dealings. Top Rank and Golden Boy get a cut and Pacquaio doesn't have any leverage in any negotiations because of Arum. Arum controls everything.

 

He should definitely be getting more. Is he even aware he's taking home something like only 50% after everything?

 

40 million is most likely an exaggeration on floyd's part, but he will make a lot more than pacquiao. floyd will probably make somewhere in the region of high 20-30's million, which is not bad at all. the fight will sell very well, but i think 3 million is being very optimistic, which in my opinion the fight will most likely sell 1.7-2 million, which once again is very good. if floyd does sell 3 million, then wow, it just shows what a draw he is, and then we got some more problems with the pacquiao fight happening, because then floyd will have some leverage for more money on that fight aswell saying he's the bigger draw, which he probably is.

How much did De La Hoya make vs Mayweather?

It was reportred De La Hoya made $52 million from the Mayweather($25 million) fight, Holyfield made $35 million when he fought Tyson who made $30 million.

I don't think Mayweather earning $40 million is that hard to believe in this one.

 

Thats not money Floyd currently earned thats the money he have
to return to IRS because he forgot to pay tax from DLH fight.

 

Those are exaggerated numbers.

Pac must be getting 6 million, but Mayweather must be getting 15-20 million.

Even in that case, Mayweather is getting much more than Pac.
