Do you still consider Floyd Mayweather a "cherry picker"?

Forced into it because he couldn't make a fight with Pac which was another big fight that I wouldn't consider "cherry" unless of course all the rest are ******ed like you are, Margarito loyalist.

Tell me, was it also too late when he was publicly called out and turned it to clear the way for DLH down after making Vargas look like a tomato can in the rematch?

Since the Castillo fights in 2002, Floyd has coldly calculated his every move.

Instead of fighting Tszyu, Mosley, Williams, Cotto and Margarito, he fought a collection of tiny welterweights, rubbish welterweights, nobodies, and past-prime names.

It's great that Mayweather-Mosley is happening, it's a superfight, but it doesn't mean the last EIGHT YEARS have disappeared from the history books.

 

Yes and no. No in the beginning because he was making a name of himself fighting Corrales, Castillo, etc 135 on down he was doing great. It was when he took on Judah after Judah losing to Baldomir, fighting Baldomir, and then the fights with Hatton and especially Marquez. Against Oscar I won't criticize him too much, even tho Oscar was past his prime, he never was an easy fighter to beat even at that point.

Now against Shane, it really seemed Floyd had his back against the wall and with the quake at Haiti, it enabled Mosley to be free to fight Floyd, who also happened to be looking for an opponent. Even at 38, Shane is still dangerous enough to beat anyone, including Floyd and Pac. The fact is like him or not, Floyd could of slithered his way out of this fight like he did with Pacman, but he didn't. Yet. So I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now. He can be unpredictable at times. So I congradulate Floyd for growing some cojones.

So he was cherry picking for fighting Judah after a loss even though the contract was signed BEFORE Judah lost the WW belt. Then you go on and fail to mention that:

Margarito - Lost to Williams
Williams - Lost to Quintana
Cotto - Lost to Margarito
Mosley - Lost to Cotto
Clottey - Lost to everybody

So why is Judah "cherry picking", but the other guys are ducking?

Slithered his way out? How in the hell is it slithering his way out when Manny backed out of a deal he originally agreed to? Manny slithered out of fighting Shane.

After Floyd beats Mosley and Pacquiao knocks out the underprepared Clottey, when the negotiations finally get settled for a Floyd vs. Pacquiao fight people will say, "Floyd is still a cherrypicker because he was forced into fighting Pacquiao." The excuse is so terrible that people get to use it at any time by pointing out a bunch of circumstances that lead to the fight and somehow attribute that to "forcing" Floyd into doing something, thereby making it such that he gets no credit. Laughable.

 

When did Floyd ever back out of a fight over a rib injury?

I do not understand how people think Floyd was "forced into fighting Mosley" because of Berto pulling out of the fight when in actual fact it's just a matter of good timing. Pacquiao pulled out of negotiations with Floyd, Berto pulled out of his fight with Mosley, and the timing was just right for the fight. Nobody was "forced" into anything. Credit to both men for taking the fight.

Yep, he's bitter over the fact that, like it or not, Floyd IS a bonafide superstar.
