“We’ll dislike each other before May 1—and actually, I’m not even sure I dislike him now,..But after May 1, we won’t dislike each other unless we have to fight again.”

Looks like Shane is abandoning the trash talk and is going to kill Money May with kindness leading up to the fight. While Mayweather spews ignorant garbage about Shane's ex-wife, his past drug abuse, and his clothes, Shane will keep it civil. Shane's suits may be "off the rack" but he has something all the money in the world can't buy Mayweather, class.

trash talking isnt for us as ive said before

tha casual fan needs a bad guy , good guy match

and the flashy brashy arogant behavoir gets more exposure thus sell more fights

NOT FOR US , ITS FOR CASUAL FANS

Ok so basically he tried the trash talking/disrespectful game, failed horribly, but people will just forget that and say he's the classy one.

Watching him try to prove that his suit was custom was hilarious.

We know they're friends anyways, the whole bad guy/good guy seems staged as on a number of times u see them with their arms round each other posing for photo's.

Floyd Mayweather is a very classy person don't let the television and fight promotion fool ya he's a very humble dude...but he's in the fight business and that nice guy **** don't sell very well.

I remember when he first started and he didn't talk so much **** and he just got in the ring and put on a display of beautiful boxing skills and ring generalship he had a saying "skills pay the bills" and for the time being they did for him but it wasn't enough.

HBO didn't appreciate him, the fans didn't appreciate him he didn't get noticed until he became a out right ******* and since Corrales was his first big opportunity he had to take advantage of it and take the his career to the next level as a villian....

There's no way at that point in his career with him and Chico being undefeated at that time that fight should've been on regular HBO...that was a PPV worthy fight they didn't market him right so he started marketing himself.

all the **** floyd talked to oscar. Floyd and oscar are actually coo
but they have to fight and that has to be pushed aside
and you have to get your head in the game
    look at pac cotto
pac wanted to let cotto off the hook cuz he likes him freddie begged manny to just put him away
theres no place for friendship in same weight division

I like Floyd, he's one of my favorite fighters. However, he's not very humble at all. And there have been many times when he has shown a lack of class. And Floyd is not playing a villian role. He seems to be a generally arrogant guy with a chip on his shoulder. That doesn't make him a bad guy, but it often leads to him looking like the bad guy. He's been talking trash since he was young. He talked all types of **** about Corrales. That's ok though in my book. In any sport, you're going to have to deal with trash talking.

I don't believe they're friends, or at least haven't been for a couple years. It's likely they may be friends again after the fight as a lot of fighters do but at this moment I believe they both really dislike each other, or at least Floyd does Shane. And I don't believe Manny let cotto off the hook.

Dont know which is more surprising you saying something good about Shane Mosley or see you criticizing Mayweather.

I would rather Shane keep those comments for after the fight.

I would rather Shane and Floyd convince us that they truly dislike each other. Even if its just for show.

A good personal rivalry ups the ante of a big fight. I love that part of boxing. Duran vs SRL is just not the same thing if these guys liked each other, or even respectful towards each other.

Ive never been "more" interested in a boxing match because the guys were classy towards each other. Now, Im not the one who needs to be convinced to buy this fight, but Im sure the mainstreamers feel the same way.
