knocking out a 147 pound farm animal doesnt sound hard....didnt roberto duran knock out a 800 pound mule?
Nazeem is the thing that concerns me in this fight. He's very underrated and will no doubt come up with a master game plan.
Nazim has proven himself great at neutralizing guys with a straightforward attack (see Pavlik and Margarito). Trouble is that offensively, Floyd is quite unpredictable. Psyched for this fight though.....
Shane can win this but he has to be smart and not load up punches but instead rough Floyd up a little in the inside esp. in clinches and focus on bodyshots before going to the head. Wrestle him to the ropes and make Floyd feel really uncomfortable then nail him with left hooks to the body. He knows Hopkins so Shane should know all about roughing someone up by now.
I'll take a bet that he DOESN'T knock out a farm animal of 147lb, as those would be so quick that you cannot get a clean shot in at them unless you bind them immovable to a post. Making it kind of pointless, like shooting fish in a glas.
Shane is amazing. He can swim without getting wet, knock the grease off of you, and then go knock out a farm animal for fun.
I'm not worried about Nazim the only chance Shane has is a punchers chance...If he doesn't land that big shot he's going to get stop somewhere near the end of the fight...his gameplan whatever Nazim comes up with won't work because Nazim has never worked with Shane through fustration people easily forget how unfocused Shane can be when things aren't going his way after about 6 rounds he's going to be very flustered and very hard to advise and coach.
Didn't Larry Merchant once say that Shane had "a smile as bright as Julia Roberts"? I always got the sense that Larry's feelings for Shane confused him. During some of his post-fight interviews, I expected Larry to present him with a boquet of flowers.
