What time is this broadcast scheduled? I'm guessing the main event in about 24 hours. Are they featuring Fury, too?

Also, who do people like in this one?

Even the Morris of the Simpson rubbermatch seems a bit tighter and more versatile to me than the scraps I've seen of Sykes. It should be a tough and bruising affair, but my leaning is with Andy. The moneylines and experts have them beyond splitting. :conf

The fight should start 10pm tomorrow night. I'd say after brief build up it fighters will be in ring from 10.15 onwards.

Tough fight to call...Morris has been quiet of late. I'm leaning towards Sykes on this one...been on a good roll and seems on da up.

Will probably be really close, and you're right Morris is a little more sound skills wise but I think Sykes awkwardness could cause problems for a very textbook style.

Plus Morris has been out of legit action for a while now and I've a feeling Sykes is desperate for this and his will can take him through...

IB how are you so up to date on brit cards

I haven't seen much of morris but i think crolla was Sykes biggest challenge domestically and he dealt with him with real class. Sykes UD for me

Sykes should sneak this, but Morris will be by far and away his biggest test to date...Crolla was a decent win, but Anthonys record is pretty **** poor

**Anyone see the weigh-in?, what sort of condition did Sykes look in?

Its a very hard fight to predict IMO. I have went for Sykes, but I wouldn't be surprised if Morris took the decision either.

Cuts could play a factor as well and work in Sykes favour.

Good point on cuts, it's part of my reasoning for my thoughts on a TKO....Just because it will be a fight I think very much on the inside...:yep and this is where I think that Gary wins this contest...:yep

Although Morris came in at the scales, two ounces below the nine-stone-four limit, Sykes had mis-judged his weight and was 10 ounces over.
Morris, nicknamed the Wythenshawe Warrior, heckled Sykes, commenting: "That (sic) what it takes to become a champion, Gary."

Sykes was given one hour to make the weight or risk losing his dream shot at the title but after an anxious wait, he returned to the scales, having shed two pounds in just 20 minutes, and came in at 9st 2lb 11oz.

Sykes said: "If anything, having to lose the weight took a bit of the nerves off the occasion for me. I am just not thinking about the L word and I am confident, I will win. I don't usually like having to stare out my opponents but when I looked at him (Morris), I felt confident. It was good."

Around 300 of Sykes supporters are set to be at Huddersfield Sports Centre for the fight on Friday, which is also live on Sky TV from 10pm.

    Cmon Gary!!!

  15. Sykes has got to be considered the favourite but I've got a hunch that Morris will edge it on points. Maybe a split decision.
