There's already documentary or something made on Kassim Ouma. His story is something else.

Out of interest mate who would you cast as Monzon? Or would you throw in an unknown and have it as a foreign film?

Git. The missus interrupted me just I was about to shout out why has he not been mentioned yet. That story would fall into the wrong hands probably and be way too cliched.

:think Good question. I wouldn't make it a foreign film but I'd go for an unknown actor.

Yeah.... I agree Douglas would be a great story.

His mother's death, the 42-1 underdog, turning up ill-prepared for Holyfield.... then almost dying, then coming back.

I don't for a fact but I'd be very surprised if there wasn't already a film on Monzon made in Argentina.

Bernard Hopkins? Went from street thug who did time in prison for armed robbery, lost his 1st pro fight, became a world champion after previously having lost then robbed in world title fights, was then blackballed by the TV networks due to his style, then beats arguably the best fighter in the world, beats the Golden Boy, loses his titles to a younger guy, moves up to light-heavy and beats the 'man' there, loses that distinction, then humiliates an unbeaten beast in Pavlik, then a revenge rematch and then hopefully call it a day.

Freddie Roach's story would make a nice little 2 hour drama.

Might be jumping the gun here a bit considering he is still unproven at elite level, but you can't deny that Valero's life thus far would make for a good film. Arum and Maloney's life stories and events they have witnessed are quite interesting and a life story on Naz would be hilarious as well:lol:. Jason Booth has also not been mentioned so far.

I would happily watch a 5 hour film on JMM as well.

Hopkins is a good call. Personally I would like to see a movie about Jersey Joe Walcott more than anyone else though. Stanley Ketchel, Nigel Benn, Jack Dempsey and Sonny Liston all have interesting stories as well.

When i watch HBO legendary nights and see him fighting back in early 2000-01 and his speech so slurred and him looking a weathered man really does bring tear to my eye ain't ashamed to say it chokes me. He was good looking Philly kid with world at his feet one second away from glory to lose it right at the finishing line, His never recovered from that night and what a damn good fighter he was.
