does anybody else think mosley v mayorga was a fixed fight? the punches mosley threw to knock him down the first time werent much more than tired arm punches but mayorga looked more hurt than he really was... after that knockdown, why didnt the ref send mosley to the opposite corner? if he had, then mosley wouldnt have got that last KO punch off! plus, when mayorga did go down that second time, he looked right at mosley and then just put his head back and stayed down! :think

Just suspicions! im not a hater or anything!! :yep

I think Mayorga was dead tired and those punches were just enough to put him out of the fight. I've actually seen fighters have a hard time getting up from the canvas late in fights even if they've only been pushed down or if they tripped. I don't think the fight was fixed, I just don't think Mayorga was really ready for 12 hard rounds and Mosley was. Remember Mayorga came in at around 170lbs from a 154 lbs weigh the previous day, I don't think that's a really good sign of how well prepared Mayorga was for the fight.

Nah, didn't see anything there that would make me suspicious, i haven't seen the whole fight but since the KO came in the 12th round exhaustion for mayorga was probably a factor in him going down

yeah could be right! but why didnt the ref send him to the opposite corner? mosley was standing over mayorga waiting to spark him out as soon as he got up. looks like both mosley AND the ref knew that there was only a few seconds left. :think

You could see it that way, and you could also think the ref made a mistake by not sending Shane to the neutral corner. Shane actually moved himself ehind the ref to the other side of the neutral corner, he just didn't go all the way back, it's not first time that happens and it won't be the last, although it was the ref's responsability to make sure Shane was in a neutral corner.

Mayorga was out on his feet and the only thing getting him through was instinct.

That placement of Mosley by the ref was suspect, but dude his legs buckled BEFORE the shot hit him. He ducked right into a hook at total exhaustion or... :think

yeah i suppose your right! just made me a bit suspicious thats all. you could say that shane was lucky that the ref didnt make sure he was in the corner, as he wouldnt have had the time to get accross the ring? :think

Yeah man you got me a bit suspicious. You can look at that a couple of ways though depending on if you are wearing your tin foil hat or not...

-- Mayorga miscalculated the left as high and went low

    or

-- Mayorga was trying to hurry up and give him the win

Dont think the fight was fixed.
On another note, kudos to ol Larry for outing himself at the end there.

I think Mayorga was just exhausted, punches hurt a lot more when you're too tired to resist them. Good call on Mosley's placing though, you would think he would be sent to neutral corner but it seemed like he was just stood in front of Mayorga.
