I think its great that you're starting this thread ... I give you all the credit in the world ... you seemed to be trying to do it instead of acting like a ignorant fan.

It all depends on how old you are ... if you're 5'6 147 ... you may be able to fight at 140 (in the pros) but the weights are different if you're thinking about taking the amateur route (which would be the best thing for anyone who wants to box and not become a journeyman).

Keep working at it ... no bull**** you might actually turn out to be a nice, well rounded fighter.

I seen that video before. I though you were much taller/bigger.

The above posters are correct, you seems too static over all.

You suck worse than the thread starter. Mutha****az trip me out when they try to give advice on boxing yet look like Ray Charles would give them hell in a sparring session.

My advice to you would be to keep chronicalling your improvement and putting in some road work to build up that endurance ...

    Stick wit it bro

anyways thread starter. If you keep practicing you will get better. Remember to step with your punch. You are leaning to generating weight from what i see. step with ur left leg when you jab, and turn with your right. Hooks are hard to throw until you are used to turn with your hips but once you get used to it you would probably find that it would be your hardest punch.

Keep in mind on what you want to work on rather if is for power, or muscle endurance burn. repeat 1-2 fast for 2 mins str8

Your punching technique leaves a lot to be desired, you throw arm punches. At 147 you'd be very short, but it happens. You should join a gym first though, fighting is not very wise at this point.

Based on your body type, I'd say 130. Remember that you're training to move , parry and throw punches for 3 or 4 rounds(depending on country) in the beginning so you're fight weight is going to be considerably different from your walk around weight.
