I think just from prison to the Tito match would make a good enough film by itself.

Yep, I think you'd have to know when to end a film for dramatic effect, like ending Durans after the Barkley fight.

Yeah, like Douglas' story would end with the Tyson win (I would have it start off with his loss to Tucker) if I were making it.

Oh yea I don't doubt that. Its just a really tragic story, it would have sounded morose no matter how you put it really, and it could probably make a very good film

Biopic on Liston or Jack Johnson would be my pick. **** load of material for both of them.

like him or loathe him, the amount of ****ed up **** hes done or done to him is insane.

nearly dies like 5 times, considered by many to have talent to burn but for drink n drugs(?) he 'coulda been a contender'. classic almost great self destructive story

Jack Johnson is the one I want to see, but only if they get an Oscar winning performance out of the actor who plays him! I think it would have non boxing fans interested as well, due to the social aspect of his life at the time.

"The Great White Hope" with James Earl Jones is about Jack Johnsons life. For some reason they changed the name to Jack Jefferson though....

Anyone read 'The Years of the Locust' about Tim Anderson? I'm only halfway through it, but seems like it's a tale that has the makings of a decent film.

Teddy Atlas's story would make great viewing, the street fighting in his early days in Staten Island, the knife scar, almost doing a hit on Donny LaLonde, being a doorman at the Thomas A Becket on Old Kent Road, the early years with some HW called Tyson.

The book is a great read

Trevor Berbick's story could make a hell of a film.

Last man to face and beat Ali, violently lost the title to Tyson.

The public brawl with Larry Holmes.

Retired due a brain injury, went to jail a few times for sex offences.

Murdered in jamaca by his nephew.

Tell me that isn't enough material
