Win a decision... for two reasons.

    1. His dynamic fighting style, although it's a thing of beauty, is just not so pleasing to the eyes of the tactically deficient, mob mentality, blood-thirsty casual fans who want to see punches in bunches as opposed to skill, defense and accuracy. The fans will be reacting to every time Pac so much as looks like he's gonna throw a punch. And the judges will be swayed by this alone.

    2. The judges for this fight know they will be public executed by firing squad if they ruin the punk-ass superfight. Arum would come after their families as well.

So instead, Clottey will starch his ass in 8. It is a foregone conclusion. I am certain of it. :rasta

IF Clottey proves he can take Pac's best shots, discourage him, and puts pressure for 12 rounds, then a decision victory is not an impossibility.

Clottey hit the floor from a Cotto Jab.

Clottey only hurt Cotto with a headbutt.

Pacquiao beat the crap out of Cotto.

While I agree that Clottey will be viewed by many as a sacrificial lamb, he will as game as ever and he will present problems for Manny Pacquiao. The problem is that the only way I see him winning a decision is if he gets more active offensively and that will expose him to Manny's arsenal.

    Answer this Einstein...

If Cotto actually hurt him with a jab in the first round, then why did he not so much as endanger the rest of the fight? Not even close. Clottey gave him like 20 free powershots and just shook it off while Cotto backed up as if he had seen a ghost.

We all know he was caught off balance.

Well, it would be rather difficult to argue with that logic wouldn't it?

    Neckbreckaiken,

I guess you missed the part where Cotto suffered a nasty gash on his eye in round 3 totally changing his momentum in the fight.

Honestly though, did you even see any kind strategic punching or combinations from Cotto to break Clottey's guard? I don't know about you, but I didn't see anything like that from Cotto. wasn't his trainer for that fight Santiago?

Now you answer me this Einstein, if you were fighting Clottey, please tell me how you would break down or punch through his guard?

Its a Pac man KO or wide UD for me.

There is little chance of Clottey taking pac out by KO and lets be honest Clottey wont win on points unless he scores a KD every round!!!

Clottey is going to pound Pacman into submission. I predict Roach is going to throw in the towel but not before pacman is busted up into retirement. Clottey is going to prove everyone wrong. Clottey is no Cotto,he is much smarter and wont rush into things like Cotto did thinking Pacman had no power.

Cotto rushed in thinking Pacquiao had no power??!!

Slow down son... Before the fight, Cotto went on record saying Pacquiao has the power to KO Tyson. Sounds to me like Cotto respected Pac's power plenty.

and Cotto didn't rush anything in his fight with Pacquiao. He took it calm and easy, tried to box him, but ended up tasting the pain and speed of Pacquiao and was forced into survival mode and first attempted to brawl, and when thay didn't work, he ran.

  15. One of Clottey's biggest problems is that he couldn't get his trainer a visa so he settled for some other guy. That, in and of itself, is a huge deal in my eyes. Who knows what kind of effect that is having on his training camp and psyche leading up to this fight.
