I heard that as well. Lennox was the one that told Sanders how to beat Wlad, go at that weak chin of his and see what happens. It's too bad Lennox said the same thing to Sanders when it came time to fight Vitali.:rofl Wlad's chin is still extremely weak, it just hasn't been really tested since Peter in sept. of 05. Unfortunately Chambers doesn't have much power and is not an aggressive fighter. Wlad will probably eat him alive with his superior jab and finish him by the 7th or 8th round.
Here is another example of blind nuthugging. Yeah he took some flush shots and his ass was on the ground. He was holding peter like a hot date. Wlad should not have been alowed to hold like that. Face it wlad can't take a damn punch. Sanders said he didn't even landed his best shot and wlad could not even stand up. Chambers is going to win and we finally can shut the nuthuggers up.
I think that's a fair statement although I do rate him a bit higher than you do because counterpunching HWs with lighting fast hands/reflexes are SO rare.
Look at the first two minutes of this video and see what Chambers Dimitrenko win says really. Chambers was able to move into Dimitrenko's range without getting any punishment whatsoever. Then Dimitrenko takes his guard up, still not a punch at Chambers. Dimitrenko is sitting there like a statue waiting for Chambers to make the first move while on the inside. A deadly mistake considering Dimitrenko has a considerable reach advantage. Chambers is allowed to carefully place his punches on the inside and then - after 20 seconds allowing Chambers to be within range - Dimitrenko fires his first shot, and misses. Anybody in their right mind think Wlad will fight as dumb as this? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UX5h4R1v6w[/ame]
That clip shows exactly what I'm talking about. Chambers has no lateral movement. He doesn't duck. He does not even have a wide arsenal of punches. When a jab comes at him, he throws up the guard and stands still. It's what every opponent of Klitschko does, they stand directly in front of him and eat jabs like morons...and they eventually get knocked out because of it. Now, Dimetriko, is not all that good, so Chambers was able to get some work done by moving in straight forward and blocking. Against Wlad, this will just get him punished and finished easily.
Yea Chambers will have to show a lot more aganst Wlad to beat him. I think Wladimir would have beaten the crap out of Dimi and closed the show in the 5th or 6th if he had been in there instead of Chambers, if that means anything of course. Dimitrenko hasn't fought since then has he? I hate when fighters lose and do nothing for the next year. I respect Eddie for making a comeback and earning his shot at the title
Klitschko by KO(could be early or late) or UD. Even if it goes the distance I expect to see Chambers either hurt badly in between or knocked down a few times.
Very good point. At least he's not a quitter. He could have easily eaten his way into obscurity but he has dedicated himself after losing to Povetkin and just look where he is now, especially compared to Povetkin who is rumoured to fight Guinn et al.
Wlad by UD. No way eddy gets KOD, way too slick and skilled defensively. Chambers also has an excellent chin. Wlad will win somethinkg like 116-112.
IMO, the problem is that Chambers played it safe. He had one good win but he should have capitalized on it by fighting other guys, that would have helped him confidence and experience wise. chambers will lose a decision IMO.
Wlad ko in 6/7. Chambers is the best US heavyweight out there and i rate him around number 5 in the division behind the Klitschkos, Chagaev and Povetkin. I dont think Chambers will embarass himself though.
Thats very possible. Though if you watch Chambers as I have, you will notice two blarring things. One, he tends to slow down greatly as the fight wears on. You could see an example of this in the Povetkin fight, as well as against Brock to a certain degree. If he does slow down, his hands will begin to drop through fatigue. Against the likes of Brock and Povetkin, he was able to get away with it. When he fights Wlad, once his hands drop, so does his body onto the canvas. The 2nd problem with Chambers is when he gets tired, he sometimes covers up like Bryd used to against the ropes. Wlad being the smart fighter he is. Will take a step back or to the side and unleash his jab, straight right through the guard. Chambers let brock do it, and Peter as well. I dont think he will get away with that tactic against Wlad.
