I've really noticed how quietly this fight is taking place. This past week Mayweather and Mosley were all over ESPN and the internet with barely a peep about Pac/Clottey. Here it is a week away from the fight and nobody semms to know it's going on.

Is this because it is the second best fight of the Spring? The steroids? Two foriegners? What's your opinion?

Because outside of boxing enthusiasts Josh Clottey is unknown. Manny himself, while he exploded onto the world stage with his destructions of Hatton and Cotto, isn't THAT big of a sports figure in this country.

It just comes down to the fact that Pacquiao, while close in terms of popularity to Mayweather in the U.S., is not so much more popular that he can carry a no-namer, outside of hardcore circles, like Clottey.

If I didn't come in here and see threads like this I would genuinely forget this fight is even happening. Sincerely.

Is the coverage that bad in the states Raf? Being a Limey it doesnt matter who it is, its always crap. I thought this would be a big event out there? I guess its not getting the best exposure then?

Good for them ...they should have taken the mayweather fight ...Arum coming out of his pockets by now is this fight even sold out.
Mayweather is a smart business man I will say ,him and Mosely will probably walk away with more than 10 plus mil after this fight.

Unfortunately Clottey isn't well known by casual fans and Manny isn't big enough to carry this fight all by himself!

The fight was greatly helped by the fact it is being hosted in Dallas...

Also it's clearly the second best fight this year.

    Who owns RING Magizine ?
Who is promoting the Mayweather Vs Mosely fight?
Floyd isnt BIG MONEY, DLH is BIGGGGG MONEY. Dont think they haven't had a hand in the down play of Pac Vs Clottey.
That is business tactics and they have the clout to pull it off.

It's gotten very little coverage. The only time the media has bothered to mention this match it's been to disparage it.

There's been no coverage of it in the UK, only Mayweather V Mosley hype over here.
