its because of who he is training and who his fighters up against, i mean who else can train brewster or rahman to beat wlad or adamek to beat dawson.
He might be a good trainer in the gym. But he is a complete mood killer to have in the corner. Nothing that he says is motivational even in rounds where his fighter does good.
"drink some water" is still better than...... "we can recoup, we can recoup!! lets do it!!! lets recoup" - joe santiago
McGirt...really? I guess Cotto has gotten used to the corner throwing in the towel, and he really likes the feeling.
If Cotto has something left in him after Margacheato and Pacman, this is a great marriage... Look at what Buddy did with Gatti, he reinvented his career. Buddy was a helluva boxer in his day, and he gets his fighters to buy into what he is saying. If anyone desrves a second shot it`s Cott, a class act all the way... At best Buddy polishes the stone. And whatever happens, Cotto gets a guy in his corner who TRULY cares about his fighters, and won`t let him take a beating...
buddy does not do a good job...the fights we have seen has not prooved it? what does being a name as a trainer mean for cotto... therapy would be better for him so he can shake that past bull**** of a cement handed mexican and wild drugged out fillipino paulie knows that he is a piece of ****...and you all hate paulie....so figure it out.
