With both fights coming up, I continue to see threads giving both Chambers and Jones very little chance of winning. I too can't see how either man could beat their oppenent. The thing that would help jones at this point is a time machine set for 10 years ago. For Chambers, to magically give him Tysons power and killer instinct.

That being said, what would you think is a bigger upset if it happend?

Jones beating hopkins would utterly astonish me.

reason jones is erfectly capable of beating hopkins whereas a chambers win for me is almost out of the question

I can't choose. This is one time I can't really see either man pulling off the upset. Jones looked like utter **** in his last bout, and Hopkins is still a force to be reckon with. Chambers has almost no power and is not aggressive enough to make Wlad **** the bed like a Brewster, Peter, or Sanders. So all bets are off imo.

Chambers over Wlad....Hops and Jones are a combined 100 yrs old in age, nothing would surprise me about that match-up.

Both would be huge upsets in my opinion. Jones is shot and hasn't beaten anyone of not since the first Tarver fight. Chambers is a small heavyweight who lacks the power to really trouble Wlad.

But I'd say Chambers beating Wlad would be a bigger upset. Wlad is in his prime and Hopkins age may eventually catch up with him.

Chambers over Wlad by miles, If Hopkins lose its just that he couldn't turn back the clock one last time, where as Chambers is beating someone who is essentially unbeatable in the Heavyweight division.

Sorry, I forgot to throw up a poll. I was curious to see who they feel is a bigger upset.

Chambers because he doesn't fight in the manner of the boxers who gave Wlad losses, in fact, he fights like Byrd who couldn't win a round against Wlad in 19 attempts.

Chambers winning is a bigger upset. At least Jones used to be a great fighter; so a former great doing it one more time against another old man is much more likely than a chubby, underachiever, who really isn't even mediocre, de-throning a bigger stronger, more skilled champ who has been on a roll lately.

I wouldn't call Chambers mediocre, he does have skills. I do agree on the other things you stated in your post. He is fat and small by heavyweight standards. Though he has fought likes of Peter and Brock, and outboxed them pretty easily. Never was knocked out in the first round by a B or C level fighter. While he will probably get knocked out late in his fight with Wlad, that doesn't make him a bad fighter. He just doesn't stack up well styles wise with Wlad.

Chambers over Wlad. If Jones wins, it could be put in the "he had one left in him" group. But Eddie is looked as just the next in line, if he wins it be a surprise because there are not heavyweights around. Both are unexpected though...
