On ESPN yesterday ... Floyd claims to be the greatest fighter ever !!

The funny thing about all of this bull**** is that not ONE Mayweather fan thinks Floyd is the GOAT or even close..lol He does in his own head but thats him and that what motivates him.. On the other hand.... you got pacwhores like the ***** above me that genuinely believe Pac is the GOAT ..lol or top 10 based off of his success against nothing but damaged opponents and David Diaz over the past 3 years.. The **** is pure and unalduterated comedy.

 

He may not KO - and I probably doubt it, but a TKO is more than very plausible. I'll be vindicated after the fight.

Yeah, it is subjective. My opinion on it though.. and based on the fact he never loss I stand by it.

Looking at this fiasco that happened here with the Pacquiao situation you honestly believe Mayweather and Arum would of been able to negotiate a deal for that fight? While I can't put the entire blame on Pacquiao for the failed negotiations. One person I can. And that's Bob Arum. They would of never got a Mayweather/Cotto fight going especially when THIS fight would of potentially been the biggest in boxing history and couldn't be made. Let's be real. Arum hates Mayweather's guts and will never like to ever do business with him. Floyd isn't very fond of him either on the flip side.

Um, ok.. So did 40 try and beat him and 40 lost? That's like someone asking what happens if you throw a baseball into the air - and someone responds - it will come back down due to gravity and you get mad about it. Why get all butt hurt about it if it's fact? Now you can throw any conjecture in there to make it seem as though he didn't fight who you or anyone else perceived as a better fight but the fact is he's 40-0 and the statement holds true thus far.

So damn true..

And in boxing you always want to think you're the best to push yourself to become that. If him believing he is the GOAT gets him through the rigorous training and preparation he does to fight then more power to him. Shouldn't make you people who vehemently disagree with him hate on him because he feels he's the best. He even gave the other greats props before formulating his answer.

The more appropriate question is can you please name 50 fighters who rank over him.

Floyd's legacy's at a stage now where the onus is on the people who says he's not in the top 50 to prove such a statement. Not the other way round.

 

I don't hate Floyd and he is also in my top 50-60 (although nearer to 50 than 60).

 

i think floyd gotta hover around the 50's....he steps his game up in the WW division and he could climb to the late 20's early 30's...maybe higher but it would get real sticky then.

 

You have to beat the best to be the best... he has yet to fight any threatening fighter in WW...
