"BEND YOUR ****ING KNEES MIGUEL! BEND YOUR KNEES! DOUBLE THE ****ING JAB!"

Realistically though Loew isn't the worst name thrown out there.

if mcgirt's good, having him as a trainer must be some kind of curse. i really hope cotto doesn't bring mcgirt aboard, especially since he had the chance to bring on manny steward.

:rofl. That's true but I don't know why he hasn't decided to pick Steward or his uncle. McGirt can't fight his fighter's fights for them so I don't understand why he gets a bad rep he's not a bad trainer.

Manny Steward is practically begging to train Miguel but I guess Miggy ain't hearin it.

Evangelista is just a bad choice in my estimation. Even if they went back to working together, it's basically a powder keg.

:thinkYou may be right about him and his uncle but you are definetly right about what you said about Steward.

Cotto would have done a lot better against Pacquaio if Steward had been in his corner. Simple discipline - keep jabbing, throw three punches then back out. Don't give Manny the openings to throw in between your shots.

if were not talking about an oversized fighter with a good jab, then whats the purpose of bringing up Steward? Hes a shot, one-dimensional trainer.

I think you can eliminate oversized. He trains fighters who know how to jab well, use distance well and stay composed on the inside.

Basically everything Cotto could work well into.

I have no qualms that Steward is a scheme trainer...but his scheme works well with Cotto.

No top fighter would be dumb enough to hire that douche.
