Yes, or no. It looked like to me. Urango was ready to continue and the ref waved it off. Yeah, it was 2 devastating upper-cuts, but, Urango could of continued. This is a championship fight and Urango should be given the chance to lose his title with honor. Poll added.:!:

I thought so. Urango seemed to have his legs and his wits about him. He could have possibly survived the round with a little over a minute left. Although, in fairness, I also thought that 1 more solid punch would have ended the fight definitively. So with that in mind, I guess it is better to end it a punch too early than a punch too late.

Urango was not together after first knockdown let along second knockdown which didnt really land cleanly. Good stoppage he wouldve just gotten laid out again.

No. Just pay attention to Urango's eyes after that second KD. He was done and the ref knew it.

It was a bit premature but not outrageous, Urango was pretty much done after that second KD.

I think Urango is one of those dudes capable of masking how bad they really are hurt. Judging by the way he crumbled to the canvas on the second knockdown, I'm not sure if he had ever full recovered from the first knockdown. So I'd say no...good stoppage.

I did at first but after watching the replays of both knockdowns Urango was clearly hurt and the ref did the right thing.

looked as though he recovered ok from those knockdowns. the ref should have more respect for a fighter in that kind of fight and let him fight on if he is willing to!

Yeah i thought it was too early simply for two reasons...1) he made to his feet before the ten count. 2) Its Juan Urango, refs need to know there fighters...he's a tough MF, he could have continued.

But Alexander would have eventually stopped him because now after being knocked down twice there would have been a "real" sense of urgency for Urango to land something...which means he would have taken more chances and GOT CAUGHT again with another good shot.

Still a great Showcase fight for Alexander.

I wouldn't have argued if it had continued, but it was in that grey area, so no arguments either that the ref did stop it.

No, just because he might be able to get up doesnt make it a good ****ing idea, are you cats not happy unless a mans beat to death?

This. You can see the ref looking closely in Juan's eyes before he waves the fight off. He was done.

  15. I don't think the second KD was too legit. Urango got hit again but he didn't fall right away and then started falling into Devon and Devon essentially tossed him to the ground. But, it was plainly obvious that Juan was hurt so Devon probably would've got the KO anyways. So, overall, it's not like it was a terrible stoppage or anything.
