I watched this fight again the other night and it brought back a lot of memories. It was the first fight i ever went to see live.

I cant believe it was almost 15 years ago!

It was an amazing day, went with my bro and my best mate. Spent the whole day drinking and then headed to Wembley. A great undercard. Remember watching virgil hill, paul scrap iron ryan and nigel benn. Then the main event.

Bruno fought well and it seemed to be an easy nights work up untill around round 7-8 where Frank seemed to run out of gas. But he held on and it was madness at Wembley when he got the decision

I went round my mates to continue drinking and sniffing and got home at about 7pm on Sunday!! Those were the days when I could handle my drink!!!

I remember soon after the was a VB day (victory for bruno) in London. Remember watching it on SKY.

yeah, I think I spent most of the last 3 rounds watching the clock countdown, rather than the watching the fight, i was so nervous.

Just amazes me as to how long ago the fight was. Seems like yesterday,.

    getting old!!

nigel benn was there with Tony Tucker and Cartlon leach, Tony Tucker was murdered in the range rover shootings in rettendon in 95. Big boxing fan. Apparently he had to go back to the ring to find one of nigels lost gold earrings that he had left his ear during the celebrations!!

  7. I remember listening to it on the radio (I didn't have Sky) and it was immense. I was never a big fan of Bruno but was glad he finally won a world title. I watched the fight a couple of days later and still got excited towards the end of it.

Just a little something I've always wondered after reading that. Reckon Leach was telling the truth when he says Benn had no idea about the sort of stuff they got up to?

yeah i read bloggs and bonded by blood. i guess the man was a ****. but no different to any other man in his game. Benn seemed to trust him. he does come across as a bully but the bloke aint around to answer them allegations and I would guess most blokes in that profession have that elememt within them.

Anyway, did you hear they are bringing out a new film called bonded by blood about the rettendon munders tumur hessien is gonna play pat tate, looking forward to it

dunno mate. I guess he must have. I cant believe he could have spent all that time with him in training and them not have disccssed what tucker done for a living. I think Benn knew big time.

As anyone who read LEACHs bio will know Benn wanted to have TONY TUCKER on his shorts after Tonys death. But was advised against it. Think he knew. how could he not
