I don't listen to anything Roach has to say because it usually contradicts something else he said earlier or will be contradicted later on by either him or Pacquiao. I mean this guy said testing until 5 days before the fight was fine, then it wasn't and now they "don't want to play by Mayweather's rules", well where was that when they said they were afraid of needles and squeamish about blood? You want to know why none of that was said, because he is talking out of his ass and making **** up as he goes. Mayweather-Mosley is going to **** on Pacquiao-Clottey and probably Pacquiao-Cotto as well.

I think Reg makes a good point. It will be very difficult for Top Rank and Team Pacquiao to justify 50/50 if Mayweather/Mosley has the kind of success that I and many others anticipate it will.

The way I see it Floyd can ask for the world in negotiations and convince everyone that he is right and Pac is wrong to refuse but in the long run a fighter's legacy is defined by what he did in the ring not outside of it, and in that department Pacquiao has Floyd lagging far behind.

Floyd is real good at public relations and managing public perception while Pac totally sucks at it, but eventually when they are no longer giving 1000s of interviews people will go back to comparing records and watching fight tapes and that's when they will see the difference.

then the fight will never happen. a fighter shouldn't have to take a smaller cut BECAUSE their ppv didn't outsell the other.

Manny couldn't KO Floyd if they were fighting in a phone booth. Manny could wear 4 oz. gloves and still wouldn't KO Floyd. However, you have to fight fire with fire. If they want to play games and make demands that are outside of the rules and then comeback say that they are only going to do what the commission says, then Floyd needs to make them follow the rules to the letter. At that point, Manny can wear 10 oz. gloves and take the smaller cut, or he can wear 8 oz. gloves, get an even split, but submitt to the olympic style testing.

you're right 10 mil a pound aint in the rules,

of course the rules MUST be altered if someone fails weight either that or no fight so its more like a guarantee that Floyd would nto cheat like his previous fight:good

There is no rule that states that a WW can't weigh in at 146 lbs. for a WW bout. Regardless, if the fighter is overweight, the commission already has monetary penalties in place. Why should we believe that the commission's penalty for being overweight is insufficient but that their drug testing protocals are sufficient? If Manny wants to go outside the rules to guarentee that Floyd doesn't come in overweight, then he should allow Floyd to go outside of the rules to guarentee that neither are taking any PEDs.

That's one thing we can agree on.
