Rules
1) These rankings our by the fans for the fans. They are formulated using polls, discussion and debate. All opinions will be considered.
2) To be ranked fighters must have had a bout within the last 365 days.
Guierelimo Jones, Sergiy Dzinziruk and Shane Mosley unranked due to inactivity.
a) Fighter will be re-ranked once they have boxed again.
3) Fighters can only be ranked at one weight. Fighters will always be ranked in the last division the boxed in unless they state it was a one off.
4) There can only be one Champion per division. No interim Bull****.
5) The ESB Title can be decided when the No.1 ranked fighter beats another eligible fighter. Fighters in

a) In some divisions the ESB Championship can be decided by any eligible fighter in a bout with another eligable fighter. This will be stated alongside the division rankings.
b) Dzinziruk and Mosley still eligable for ESB Championships at there weight.
c) ESB Champions must have defended there title over a 365 day period.
d) If a Champion continually fights a poor level of opponent thats not been mandated by there Alphabet belt, they will be stripped.
6) When a boxer announced there retirement they will be removed.
7) The P4P rankings our done using a vote. Votes will take place every 3 months. The last was in early January, 135 ESB forum members voted.

it started a year ago with people making top 10s and over time I have been making the changes. if theres a fair amount off disagreement with anything then it will get changes. we do polls like the super middleweight one and the light welterweight one currently.

major problem is not enough input from people at the moment. the thread has had over 100 views but only 3 comments, need more input

I dont think he is refusing out of ducking the opponent, its about legal
issues right?

If he doesnt fight for a year he will get taken out or if others put together god wins he will drop

 

Just to point out the p4p vote was done in January, so since then there been a couple of good wins from guys. I am going to run the vote again after the Pacquiao fight.

i tend to agree with you about HH not being top 10..............but not top 50 is just crazy. i would have him top 15-20 certainly, 10 world title defences deserves respect and the opposition is not that much worse than . one thing i would point out is the top bantamweights are not in a hurry to get on a flight to Japan and theres no reason for HH to leave considering he reguarly gets 50,000 in arenas and 25million viewers on TV in Japan (puts it into prospective when eveyrone going nuts about Pacquiao vs Clotty doing 40,000)

I get the feeling next time we run the P4P vote (which will be after the Pacquiao vs Clottey fight) he will be out of the top 10, but that could change if he beats Montiel who is a very credible opponent. If he beats him his record would be as good as a Berto or Valero (in my opinion) but still lower than a Bradley, Ward or Abraham.

With regards to Darchinyan and Donaire....hopefully they will fight this year so we will know for sure. Darchinyan deserves his championship status as he beat Mijares for the title.

intrestingly enough when we did the p4p Darchinyan was ahead of Donaire in the votes by quite a long way which is strange.
