Having watched the Road to Dallas and a few other Clottey features, I like the guy and I am really pulling for him. I was hoping that Quackiao would win to keep the pressure on for a Mayweather fight, but I have bought into the Clottey PR and I am pulling for the underdog!

Who else is pulling for Clottey?

I think I'm almost with you.

I still want a pac/may fight though, so i'm torn.

Yeah, all the behind-the-scenes stuff I've seen and the ESPN the Magazine article really endeared him to me (as they tend to do for the underdog). I've always liked him as a fighter and it'd be cool to see him get the W. I'd be OK with him winning.

But on the other hand Pac-Floyd needs to happen. So I'm perfectly fine with Manny winning. And I'd be shocked if he didn't.

i don't mind a clottey-mosley fight for welter supremacy. the two ego-centric p4p fighters needs some form of ass-whopping to let them touch the earth once again.

I don't know if you were joking or being sarcastic or what, but I used to love Pacquiao. However since the Mayweather negotiation debacle, my opinion has changed. A lot of things have come to light from Manny and Team Manny like his adultery, braggadocio, excuses, and lies/contradictions. I have always said that Manny would get pwned by FMJ, and that Manny's opponents have been carefully selected as well as shot/drained, but the events since December have pushed me over the edge. Manny and company have lost me as a fan.

Anyway, back to Clottey. :happy I wasn't planning on buying this fight because I thought that it would be one-sided and I didn't care. I saw it as a Mayweather duck and that was it. However now I think Clottey has a (very small) chance, and I am pulling for him. Checking out that guy's apartment, and his daughter back in Ghana... The locksmith/cut man as his trainer... This is what boxing is all about. A chance at a better life.

100% agreed. However if Pac loses and Mayweather wins, then what? Will we have a Judah/Baldomir situation again? Would Mayweather fight Pacquiao and then Clottey? Would the deal be more easily done with Pac having a recent L on his record. Maybe Mayweather would ask for 60/40 this time? Maybe Pac would have no choice but to agree to the testing. A Clottey win opens up so many possibilities.

Commiting adultery is wrong but has nothing to do iwith him being in the ring. Yes my opinion has changed of Pac but he is again fighting a bigger man so I can' knock him too much. I am on the fence as to whom I want to win but the tide may turn as the days get closer to March 13. Clottey is tough the guy walks around in South Bronx at midnight!

I like to shout for the underdog so I'm already with Clottey and I like the guy because he is real, humble and he knows he has a real opportunity. I just tend to get drawn to the "poor guy who walked into a gym one day" ****.

I know that adultery doesn't effect what he does in the ring, but Pacquiao presents himself as a family man, and a man of faith. As a Christian myself, I try to walk the straight and narrow (we all fall short), but there is no way that I would try to "sell" myself based on my faith, and then as soon as the cameras stop rolling, go back to doing dirt. I know that it happens a lot, and not just with Pacquiao, but I bought into the whole family man, Christian man thing hard and to be honest I feel a bit betrayed.

Yeah I thought about the whole jogging around the South Bronx at night, but I'm sure that they know him in his neighborhood by now, but still...

:thinkLike with Holyfield? Anyways, I too try to be religious at times but so many bloodshed has been caused by differences in religion so I just try to love others.

Clottey has real good shot at this....he has more heart than Cotto.

Pacquiao is a goofy southpaw, I will never be in his corner......

War Clottey!!!! I would love for him to win so he can get a better place than that small hole he calls an apartment. Not hating on Pac but he has had his moment. Let the people the Ghana rejoice for a change.
