Haven't seen any threads about this, and don't see it being to unrealistic. Although, to be fair Clottey is a big guy, an elite WW, who isn't 39 years old so I'm not sure the fight would ever come off ;)

Anyway, enough with that. I just watched Clottey's match against Margarito, and he definitely would have beaten him if it not for that hand (I gave him 5 rounds even with messing the hand up in the 5th). Clottey beat Zab (who gave Mayweather problems), and I had Clottey by one point against Cotto. He should have done more, but I think he did enough...
I do see Pac winning, but this fight will be very good. Clottey is tough as nails, hits hard, and is a good counter puncher.
Let's say Clottey does win, and does go up against Mayweather. What will this fight be like? Mayweather is a counter puncher boxer, and Clottey is a counter puncher aggressor.
I don't really have a pick personally, and find the fight 50/50 (minus the fact if it's close the UD will be given to Mayweather). Mayweather is quicker, but yet...What can he land on CLottey? Zab Judah showed us quickness didn't seem to matter. But yet...Could Clottey really do anything to Mayweather either? I'm still unsure if the fight would be boring, or not as well, and think it'd mainly depend on what Clottey would do.

For you to even suggest the fight 50/50 shows your lack of knowledge.

Just in my opinion Clottey doesnt match up well at all with Mayweather, and i actually think this would be shown to be quite a mismatch once the bell rings. Mayweathers movement, speed, and just overall ability would see him master clottey to the point where id be suprised if clottey wins 2 rounds. Clottey to me seems like the exact kind of opponent Mayweather can pot shot silly. Im trying not to overate or underrate eather of them but its just one of those fights that i see being a bit one sided.

    imo

cant see Clottey doing anything to frustrate Floyd and i dont believe Clottey has the ring savvy to deal with Floyd for 12 rounds.

So that's why Floyd chose Mosely?

It's not the fact that it was the biggest fight out there for Floyd outside of the Pac fight which just fell through?

This would be a very exciting fight.
12 rounds of Floyd on one side of the ring in his Philly Shell waiting for Clottey to fight,
and Clottey on the other side in his high guard waiting for Floyd to throw a punch.

I'd give the decision to Floyd because this fight would probably be on American soil.

So you think Clottey is a tougher fight than Mosley? :patsch

And I see nothing but a clear UD for FMJ in this "fight".

Why does Mayweather get **** for fighting Mosely who looked great dismantling Margo in his last fight. Berto didn't get no ****, infact Mosley was favourite to beat him, but as soon as he signs up to fight Mayweather he's deemed to old. Fact is Mosley is the number one welterweight and if Mayweather does win he'll become the number 1 welterweight. Mosley>Clottey

Also he'd pick Clottey apart for a UD, no way is this fight 50/50.

totally agree, this is the worst thread of all time, the fact that this guy believes that flat footed ploddrr clottey who has failed everytime he has stepped up in comp is a tougher opponent than future hall of famer shane mosley who just dismantled the same margarito who beat clottey, shows this guy knows nothing

judah gave mayweather so many problems that he lost in a clear ud possibly would have been ko'd if not for the zab nut punch special. are you implying clottey is better than mosley? that's ridiculous your knowledge is dreadful and the 39 yr old mosley is the same mosley roach said he wouldn't let fight manny because he was to good.I see you're trying to tear down mosley because he's fighting floyd and boost up clottey to make a pac win look bigger you are clearly a biased pac fan
