Cotto was over-rated. Yes, I said it.

I also picked Pacquiao to knock him out. The outcome was not surprising at all. I have no idea why people think it was some kind of upset.

No, Cotto beat some good quality opposition but as NeckBreakin said, he is no Hitman.

Cotto was over-rated. That does not mean he is not a good fighter or that he has not beat some quality opposition, just over-rated by his fans.

Cotto was made into some type of monster, when in reality he was a good but limited fighter who gave you exciting fights. His durability/stamina were suspect and Cotto was always willing to eat a punch.

    This is pretty accurate.

He is a very good fighter. But he is limited. And some of his fans don't seem to see it.

    Well every fighter is overrated.

Cotto was made into a monster prior to his fight against Margo i agree, but after loss under dubious circumstances or not, he lost that "monster" title and he was more percieved as a fighter who could regain that position.

There were still alot of questions after his win over Clottey.

Looking at the Hearns fight alone...

There is no way Floyd is getting anywhere close to that right hand. I hated Leonard for what he did that night, but you gotta give the man credit. Leonard historically is light years ahead of Floyd.

If Morales was able to beat him. If JMM was able to win more rounds against him.

    SRL would impregnate him.

I don't understand why they don't see it.

Anyone who's followed Cotto's career had to have known he was a KO waiting to happen, with his suspect chin, couples with his average defense.

Also, you take into account the times he's gassed out in fights, and you can see he was very limited.

Good technique, and good power, but yes he was overrated, and still is by some.
