Leonard-Hearns but not by much. Cotto is an extremely good fighter.

Imagine Hearns fighting Cotto, and you see how ridiculous and utterly ******ed the TS must be...

I voted Pac because his rise to me through the weight classes to ko Cotto would have been the most absurd thing in the world if we were to have talked about it a year and a half ago. It would have been considered impossible. Leonard though, a world champion at his natural weight class vs another world champion, is an amazing win because of who Hearns is. I think we're confusing "impressive" with "important". Of course Leonard/Hearns is more important, but the TS says "impressive."

So you judge Pac win more impressive due to his rise in weightclasses to fight an already damaged fighter in cotto at a catchweight who had a close fight with mosley, lost to margarito and got a gift decision in my opinion against clottey. Although the judges disagree.

How can you justify comparing that to leonard who only lost at the time was to the great Roberto Duran and hearns who was unbeatable at the time.

As I said, seeing in perspective, what Pac was doing was out of this world, so unbelievable that people had to create a counter myth, the PEDS deal, to shrink his ass back down to earth. Leonard wasn't considered out of the picture, it was assumed he'd fight Hearns as he did Duran 2, sticking and moving. While Hearns was looked on as a great puncher Leonard was thought to employ some slickness against him.

You could see Cotto as you put it or you can see his performance as weighed against the quality of his division. Cotto wasn't shot imo. A shot fighter wouldn't have made it passed Clottey.

At the time, Cotto had already been beaten to a pulp, with questions about how shot a fighter he was. People were already saying how Margarito had taken something out of him. And a lot of peopl felt like he actually did lose to Clottey. Not to mention pac was the heavy favorite, who made Cotto come down to 145 to fight him.

Now Hearns, at the time, was undefeated with a KO% that was out of this world. He had never even sniffed the damn canvas. There was no clear favorite in this fight, just two of the best of any era going at it, at heir best weights.

There is absolutely no way to even compare the two.
