Should Pacquiao vacate his JWW Ring belt?

Pacquiao is JWW Ring champ, but he campaigns at WW. He's only had 1 fight at JWW and is about to fight his 3rd fight at WW. Right now, Bradley is the no.1 ranked contender at JWW. Alexander will move up to no.3 or possibly no.2 when the new rankings come out. If Manny vacates, we could see a new champ crowned this summer if Bradley and Alexander fight, or possibly early next year if the winner of that fight takes on Khan. As it stands, it doesn't look like Pac has any intentions on going back to 140 unless it's to fight Valero(which I think would take place at WW anyway). So should Manny vacate, or hold onto his belt for the time being?

Ring should contact him and ask if he plans to come back down to 140 and defend his title. If he has no intention of coming down within the next couple of fights, he should vacate the title. If he doesn't, Ring should strip him.

You can't let a fighter hold onto a title indefinitely - it's unfair to the rest of the fighters in the division.

Yes. He doesn't even fight at JWW and Roach keeps saying this is his last fight and if he does fight again he's staying at Welterweight. So I don't think he deserves to be the Ring champ right now.

I voted No because Roach is out in the press stating that 135-140 are his best weights. Also in media they are constantly whining about how hard it is for Manny to keep eating. Leads me to believe that they plan to run down to 140 soon to avoid Mayweather. Fine by me. Manny will get it at 140 too.

I would say Yes, but that is only if he doesn't intend to return to 140. If he won't fight Mayweather WW is pretty used up.

I voted yes, simply because he isn't defending it. I would rather see him stay at 140 as I think that is his better weight, but since he seems to be staying at Welterweight he should vacate. Jr. Welterweight is a talent-rich division right now and I would like to see Pacquiao vs. Bradley and Alexander. Not as much as I would like to see Pac vs. Mayweather, but that's another story.

should he vacate it? No, there's no benefit for him in vacating it himself. Does he deserve to continue to be recognized as the champ while continually fighting at 147? That answer is no. But i don't see why he should just detach his name from the title himself.

depends on Pac's next fight. If he can't get a fight with either mosley or pbf, he might as well just go back to JWW where there are some good fights that can be made.

Doubt The Ring will be too keen for him to vacate.

They only have champions at five weights and if the titles were vacated by Pacquiao and Marquez (for whom the same argument could be made) that only leaves Klitschko (who should never have been given the title in the first place), Pavlik (who hasn't fought a genuine middleweight threat since winning it and shows no signs of intending to) and Ivan Calderon.

No he shouldn't, he won the title just 10 months ago. If his fight after Clottey isn't at 140 then I can see Ring asking him to vacate but not yet. Keeping his 140 pound title helps to set up a possible match up with Valero next, who is moving up in weight. I don't think Pacquaio, Roach, or Arum are in any hurry to face Mayweather, and Valero for the 140 pound title, is a good alternative for them, especially Arum.

I thought they already said they were going taking it off him because he said he was going to continue at 147
