Basically Khan aint fighting Bradley. Thats the problem with boxing nowadys how do you become a star if none of the current stars i.e Khan are not going to fight you. Could easily see Bradley being in the same boat as Dawson and Williams on the outside looking in.
This coming from The Founder Member of the "Team Pacquiao Scrotum & Nut-Lovers Association". I can Insult too...And at least I have some creativity.:hammertime
Isn't it obvious what he's saying? The only time he'll risk Khan against Bradley is when it's all for the marbles. There's no point taking such a huge risk now. Malignaggi is a lower risk fight.
I don't really have a problem with what Roach said. He is essentially saying that Bradley would KTFO Khan and he doesn't want to ruin his young fighters career this early. Might as well wait until there's a big payday and Khan develops a little more. Khan needs a couple of wins before he should be considered for Bradley. Nice wins against Paulie, Maidana and possibly Alexander and then we are talking. You guys talk like every good prospect should be thrown to the wolves right away.
Absolutely NOT. If he's not ready...Then say that (KEEP THE **** REAL!!!). Don't give half-ass excuses trying to Jive-a-Ni99a, talking about: "There needs to be more money on the table, We Need a Unification Fight, He's not Popular enough...THAT'S STRAIGHT BULL****...AND YOU KNOW IT!!!"
I agree. Although I don't think Khan is a prospect anymore, I don't think he's ready for Bradley just yet. I'd say give Khan 1 more fight (or 2 max) after Malignaggi if he wins against Paulie, then maybe the time would be right and we'd get a good competitive fight.
Roach isn't the one that picks opponents for his fighters, don't be carried away with the Pacquiao talk. Roach didn't even want the fight with Cotto as much as people thought and it still happened, I remember Roach also didn't want Pac to train in specific areas and he was convinced otherwise. Roach just gives advice and his thoughts, that fight could happen next if the people in charge of match-making for Khan decide to. Roach is just doing what he usually does, give his thoughts and advice which is provided with his training services.
This is just proper management of a fighter. First you obviously forget the Khan is very young and Roach is still developing him. Second you don't do a fight for peanuts when it can bring in a truck load of money in a year or so. It is no different than what is going on with Gamboa and Juanma.
