it's obvious that more people think martinez is going to win by decision,in which i agree that he will outbox pavlik.
I'm also sick of all the talk that williams is ducking pav when just a couple of months ago all the pav nuthuggers were defending him for pulling out twice against williams! now that pav is healthy he wants to start saying williams doesn't want to fight em! if i'm williams i wouldn't sign to fight him right now either because he's not some little ***** who's gonna play by pavlik's rules and schedule.BY the way he now wants to fight williams and martinez after they both went to war with each other, probably hoping they've lost something.typical cherrypicker

I dunno about all this, but Long Tall Paul needs something to do while he waits for Pavlik-Martinez. I think the fight against Cintron (if it happens) is actually a great move.

    too true.

I think it's fair to have Martinez be the slight underdog, I don't think "most people" think Martinez will win by decision, it's pretty close all things considered with Martinez moving up to Pav's weight and Pav's height and reach advantage(from the shoulder to the knuckle, I think Martinez is listed as having the other measurement reach measurement in his favor believe it or not).

Hoping for a Martinez win though.

Newb is an attention *****. Obviously he knows about the other thread cuz he quotes it. I guess if a long thread validates his manhood, why not.

You read the other thread but your reading comprehension is either selective of limited. Which is it? :think

    I vote both.

If Martinez stay's on his feet for 12rds, he should get the win.
(I don't see Pavlik being able to cope w/the workrate)

That said, Not an easy task against a banger like Pavlik.

how many times do i have to say this i'm not a newb,i was banned from my other screen name in which i had over a thousand posts,

that being said, seems like you got a little mad when i spoke truth about your 1 dimensional hero...of course martinez wants the dam fight! because he knows pavlik fights in straight lines, and martinez will bring back his nightmares from the hopkins fight. he's got more skill than pavlik

you'll be dissapointed as a fan to see your hero be outclassed once again.

Have to disagree. I've just watched the Williams/Martinez fight a couple of times in the past few days. If punching Wiliams thighs during the clinches didn't stop Paul from coming forward it sure the hell isn't going to stop Kelly, assuming he can get into that many clinches with Kelly. The ONE point I'll agree with Teddy Atlas on is that clinches happen with the agreement of both fighters. Well, most of the time. Kelly will pressure Martinez in a way he has NEVER been pressured before. It is going to take a lot of energy out of Martinez avoiding and absorbing power shots. He will be getting tired a lot faster in this one. Kelly isn't going to bend forward at the waist and lunge in with looping punches to get countered. Paul made Martinez look good.
