Devon Alexander. Not to undermine you or anything, I still agree that he's not ready yet, but the point still stands.

Yes lol. Since I posted that I have already admitted I was too quick to post that without thinking. But still as I said, it is rare.

He actually was scheduled to fight Jennings. That fight evaporated do to injury and it was the only thing left in the domestic scene for Brook, without that fight of course he's going to look past another defense or an EBU shot if he's been made mandatory for a world title. You claim you won't jump on the hype train until he fights a quality opponent, in the last few weeks hes called out both Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto. Obv PAC has bigger fish to fry but Brook is clearly ready to campaign at world level and get some big name scalps on his record. Personally I believe he's better than Amir Khan

I have no issue with bringing the kid along slowly, but he's simply not ready for a guy like Cotto, even in his lessened state, and I think he needs to fight some world level journeymen before he starts talking about facing a former world champion.

Yeah agreed. Lets hope his team picks up the pace and puts him in there with some decent names.

good prospect , but not even at European level yet, the gap is way too big, Jennings was taught that lesson in 5 one sided rounds.

It's kinda funny. When Khan showed similar ambition a year or two ago, he was blasted by the British public. Many cited this the prime reason why Khan is hated so much.

Kell says a similar thing. Not a peep from anyone

Because 100x more people know who Khan is. Brook is practically unknown other than in boxing circles and Khan was regularly fighting in front of 6m people on TV. Plus he was getting a hell of a lot of hype after his silver medal at the Olympics, and he wasn't living up to the hype. Brook only burst onto the scene 18 months ago.

Plus to add to this, Brook is only saying these things to get himself publicity (its kind of ironic how he is saying these things a week before his next fight). He did an interview recently where is more honest and said that he felt he would need 5 fights before challenging the top fighters in the division.

Don't count on it. Get your money on Brook to win inside four.
My prediction is actually Brook TKO 3.
