what are people's thoughts on lew jenkins and chalky wright?

 

I wouldn't say ever but the Spinx Jinx from Michael Spinks was a thing of beauty. Ya don't believe me watch his fight with Sears.

 

Don't forget Stanley Ketchel.

 

Imo Jenkins was the hardest hitting lightweight ever. Wright hit very hard too but not as hard as Lew.

 

can't really argue. jenkins was a beast.

 

Thomas Hearns might have the best right hand in boxing history. Ask great fighters Pipino Cuevas and Roberto Duran about Tommy's right hand. Ask Hagler if it was hard. Hearns right hand knocked out Cuevas and Duran, knocked down Benitez and Leonard hurt Hagler and Hill, as well as stopped numerous other fighters.

i was thinking that to....despite his relatively low knockout percentage he had a tremendous right hand and left hook

 

When I think right hand I think of Tommy Hearns of course. After the 1980's anyone who considers the best right hands have to have him at the top. His jab is also a consideration for best jab ever.

 

It ain't the quickest or prettiest or deadliest looking right in the game, but I think every single time I've seen Golota connect with a straight right, it's been a knock down.

 

not a bad pick. i like chavez's to: one of the heaviest rights i've ever seen. didn't always get the knockdown, but round after round pounded you down like a wave.

for more heavies, i'll say leotis martin and cleveland williams

 

If southpaws are included we simply judge their left hand. It's the only way.
