I hate not seeing title fights on tv, thats basically why I even have HBO now. Trying to watch these fights on internet streams that always go down, is not fair to fight fans like myself.

The Wlad/Chambers fight not being on tv is an outrage. I understand Wlad's fighting style is not exciting to most fight fans, but he's the world champ for christ sakes. I dont care if they have to put it on at 3 in the morning in america, I want to see it and will stay up for it.

But in the average they were much better. Just look at the guys
who were at top in 90ties, from them Holly, Golota, Lewis, and a few
others played significant role in this decade, maybe not all of them at the
belt-holder level but they were competitive with the best current contenders.
The likes as Roy Jones, Toney would never be able to move up to HW during 90ties.

I agree...it is a dream match-up...one of the reasons why it's a dream match-up is because it is unusual that a fight of this magnitude actually materializes. It is very rare that two fighters of this caliber are available in the same era and at the same weightclass. Both fighters are afraid unfortunately how a loss will effect their respected legacies. I think it is a misconception by both fighters. Great fights make great fighters...win or lose. Look at Ali/Foreman...both fighters are legends simply for fighting the fight.

Like I said before though...look what a great year of boxing this is shaping up to be, and this is all taking place without the "dream match-up".

    Embrace it...it's a beautiful thing!!:good

You certainly have a very positive outlook on things, that I must admit. I tend to look at what didn't happen or what should've happend. Pac/Mayweather would be the fight of the decade. On par with Hagler/leonard or Bowe/Holyfield. Two guys with different fighting styles as well as personalities coming together to see who is the best P4P champ of the world is. If it don't happen, boxing really missed out on something special.

The point is he fought the guys and was only beaten by Peter who arguably lost the fight. Not to mention that he has never been KOD in 90 professional fights. The Polish fighter has beaten nobody and even worse has fought nobody on a world class level.

Anyway, I quit, it is pointless to argue with you guys.

The past is history...the future is a mystery...and today is a gift. That's why it's called "the present". Boxing today is alive and well, despite what uninterested critics believe. It's almost like being a boxing die-hard has become a privledge. We get to enjoy what most miss out on.

Life, period, is pretty special when you appreciate what you have instead of wasting your time pining for what could have been.:good

So Rahman beat Sanders hand down, Sanders beat Wlad hans down, and Oleg beat Rahman hands down so Oleg is the king......WTF is this ridiculous logic.

    No...just old. That's pretty funny though.

A lot of my friends call me "Mr. Rogers" because of my eternal optimism. I don't mind. I'm am a lot happier than most people I know.

BTW...I am going to both fights in Dallas...I am very intrigued about the Peter/Aguilera fight. What does everyone think about that fight? Just curious.

Let's face it, top talent in the 90's was Bowe, Lewis, Holy and Golota.

:good Very deep bro. I agree with you there. I think us ESB's live in whole seperate world when it comes to boxing, because everywhere I go UFC seems to be the fighting choice of most 20 something yearold guys. I hate it personally, it makes me miss the days where the big talk in middleschool and highschool were about Tyson or RJJ. It was boxings moment in sun. ESPN would always have something about boxing on (Usually Tyson related). I miss this those days.

Like you said, you can't look back. I guess you just got to enjoy what you got. Though I see it's like going from having a Mustang, to now having a ford escort. The fun feeling just isn't there for me like it used to be.

I'm staying in to watch it. **** going out, I rather watch Peter win the IBF eliminator match than to try and pick up dirty sluts at a bar.

Im a bit too cynical for my own good.:yep

I dont know much about Aguilera but a win over Maskaev cant be too bad.
The venue is listed as being held at "Gaylord Hotel".

    I laughed.
