He is a warrior, but still a human.

Plaster or no plaster, not many regular 147 pound human beings are going to take that kind of damage to the face and the body.

Nobody is saying Cotto is a Holyfield/Morales/Arguello/Gatti level warrior-but he's a real tough guy.

I'd like to see you get in a ring with Marg & Pac to see how "brave" you are. Yes he did run but at least he fought tough guys while people like you talk **** on a keyboard. BTW he'd kick yer ass. Bye, bye:D

Thanks. Cotto's not tougher than any of those guys but the man would fight anyone put in front of him.

Okay fair enough... But that should be the same thing for Pac.. You'd make a better arguement if you stopped contradicting yourself

This true he did take knees and basically quit vs Margarito noboddy takes 2 knees because you know the ref is going to stop the fight. Cotto quit mentally and phyiscally vs Pacquiao and ran away for 6 rounds vs Pac. Vs Mosley once things got tough he got on his bike. That said this guy was also hurt vs Judah, Torres and Corley and came back to win in dominanting fashion. Cotto did keep fighting vs Mosley also. To be fair though the Margarito and Pac beatings where as bad as it gets you kinda get a free pass at that point not evenone is stupid and wants to risk there health more then already all.

Be that as it may, 90% of the population is not comprised of world champion boxers. We expect that people who suffer pain for a living will be more willing to suffer pain than the average person. Otherwise they aren't justifying their paychecks.

Cotto flat out QUIT in the Margarito fight. He basically quit in the Pac fight. I'm not judging the guy, because he was taking horrific beatings and I don't wish to see anyone permanently damaged due to boxing. But when someone like Ortiz quits everyone views it as an utter lack of heart. When Cotto does it he's somehow still a warrior? He's a tough guy, but the warrior thing is a stretch.

God forbid a fighter knows when hes had enough, right? gotta love couch 'warriors' like harris (who is also the worst poster here just about) who like criticing the bravery of men far above and beyond himself.

I love the Vargas, Corrales, and Gatti type fighters, but to hold everyone to that standard and then put them on blast for NOT being that way is absurd. Not everyone wants to be killed in the ring God forbid.... Theres not many fighters that would have taken the amount of punishment cotto took and not have wilted (for evidence of how much punishment he took, you can see for yourself)

:goodSee I like this post and may have gone far calling Cotto a warrior but he's tough and that can't be questioned. Whoah but boxers are human too but everything else I agree with.
