"Martinez had Williams down once and badly hurt several times. Martinez is faster than Pavlik and more versatile, but nearly as heavy handed. In one of the great back and forth brawls of the year (even better than Williams-Martinez) Pavlik stops Williams in the sixth."

True, but its sort of relevant because Williams likes to stand with his opponent and throw a lot of leather. Not exactly a slickster, is he? Pavlik is only going to be happy to oblige him.

He's slower but packs a bigger punch and is more relentless. Before the Martinez fight I would have said Pavlik-Williams is a pickem fight after Williams-Martinez I have to go with Pavlik.

They are fooled by Lampley claiming that there was a high level of skill being displayed in Martinez/Williams. When I can pick out a fighters faults, they have to be pretty friggin bad. :yep

The Ring is just trying to be kind. I have Pavlik stopping him within 5.

I just watched the fight a couple of times because Martinez is Kelly's next opponent. I can't believe how Paul worked overtime to make Martinez look good. I said when the Pavlik/Williams fight was first announced that Paul was too small and Kelly could end up hurting him. Paul's chin would keep him up absorbing damage way past when he should be taking it.

I am actuallly one (of the few it seems lol) who thinks Pavlik would beat Williams, and i too think he would stop him, but not within 6. I can see why people think Williams would give pavlik a hard time and im sure he would for a bit, but i just think he gets hit too much and Pavlik is getting a bit underrated in my opinion.

    Pavlik beats Williams by KO.

I still think he loses to Sergio, though.

If Williams fights like he did in the Winky fight, he beats Pavlik. If he fights like an idiot like he did with Martinez, he could very well get knocked out. I think he thought he could KO martinez and got stupid. I think he respects Pavlik's power enough to fight smart.

Williams is a KO waiting to happen. Awful defence. The guy lost to Quintana and lost to Martinez, despite what the corrupt scorecards say. He's the most overrated fighter in boxing and has a suspect Jaw, bordeline Glass. Pavlik would destroy him.

Before Williams/Martinez I said Pavlik KO5 Williams. Now I do not think it would last 3 rounds.
