I'm sorry but Cotto is not the warrior fans make him out to be.

I have. I've sparred bigger guys and had a furious beating put on me. I've even quit mid-round, once, simply because I was getting the holy **** beaten out of me and had no answers. But you know what...I'm not a "warrior" either.

I dont claim to speak for everyone else, but i couldnt care less how good or bad cotto is, im not out to be a fan of A+++ fighters only.... If cotto fell short of being the best of his era, i can live with that because im a fan of his for different reasons (coming up he showed very good heart, i like his style and destructive outcomes of his fights, i like how he fought through various adversity earlier in his career, i like his attitude as a person, his no BS character, and the desire to fight the best, ect, ect)

    Mosley
    Judah
    Clottey
    Margarito
    Pac

are all champion level fighters.... with Mosley being the best of them besides pac, and Cotto went 3-2 against them, and beat the second best opponent he fought while he was in his prime. He did fine against top opponents....

Clottey beat Judah. He fought Margarito to a very close decision. That's more than either Judah (obviously) or Quintana did. Quintana's only notable win was P. Will, and that came after the Cotto fight. He then got pounded out in one round in the rematch.

Malignaggi took a furious beating in the fight against Cotto. It's a great example of toughness, but certainly not from Cotto. In none of the fights mentioned was Cotto ever in any real trouble. He was not put on the defensive or forced to absorb any real punishment.

And do you honestly think he did anything to break Mosley down? Mosley had far more energy at the end of that fight than Cotto.

Mosely, Clottey and Judah were all in MSG. Has he won a big fight outside the confines of that building????

Whoa, all capitals, you MUST be correct. Seriously though, you jumped in here with no point and I still haven't been able to deduce one. This all started when you responded with this:

From there, I have no idea what your point has been. Nothing I said, before or since, contradicted this. My point was that Cotto ought to be tougher than the average schlub, since his job requires it and he wouldn't be very successful if he wasn't. From there you've just been beating yourself off and blowing hot loads of stupid all over this thread. So continue if you'd like, I'm done with this conversation.

And who has put him in those pedastools? :huh

All of a sudden, if we throw the word warrior around it has to be on those echleons of toughness?
