I can't say I disagree with the Ring here. It'd be fireworks while it lasted, but I don't give Williams much of a chance of being the last man standing when the show's over in no small part because he's a fighter who's not afraid to take a shot to give one. He just eats too much leather and against a bigger fighter with a heavy workrate and heavy hands, that's a recipe for disaster.

And while this is nothing more than a gut feeling on my behalf, I think Team Williams also feels that their fighter's got more mileage on him than what alot of fans may think and that a fight with Pavlik now would inevitably shorten his career, even if Paul were to emerge victorious.

Pavlik would definitely knock Williams out....I'm just not sure if he'd do it under 6.

Let me guess Taylor and Miranda? Taylor barely beat a slick 154 pounds Spinks for crying out loud. If Taylor barely beat Spinks, i think Martinez would have beat Taylor.

williams is way too open for pavlik. if martinez was making his head snap back so far that his head looked like it was about to pop off, imagine what a clean, hard shot from pavlik would do. i don't even think i would want to see that.

Pavlik's punches are slow and predictable, so in all reality he would not be able to catch PW with numerous shots!!!!!!

They are easy to hit by guys who have speed!! Something Pavlik lacks!!!

Cut it out with the Kelly Pavlik "friendly" stats!!!

You don't have to be Roy Jones to tag Paul Williams. He gets caught with clean shots in every fight he's in. I remember him getting tagged by 3 flush left hooks in a row by Walter Mathysse......

Pavlik would knock Williams out, no doubt about it. Williams knows that, therefore, he will not fight Pavlik.

If Martinez had had time to have trained for the fight with Williams he would have knocked Williams out. Martinez beat the Hell out of Williams.

    :good

I have said it before and I'll say it again... Williams style is taylor made for Pavlik.. He loves to fight guys who will stand and trade. No way Williams would make it to the final bell in this one
